The Space

Feel at home in this beautiful house with lots of natural light & the original hardwood floors in the desirable Monroe St. neighborhood.

Windows facing south-east and -west, the room offers plenty of sunlight both in the morning and evening. It has its own balcony. A large desk provides space to work and a queen size bed offers comfort at night. Plenty of closet & dresser space.

The house has two floors. Three people live in the house (me and two roommates) sharing a bathroom, half-bath, kitchen, living room, dining room, and front porch.

The garden is stunning with flower beds all over. A picnic table allows you to sit down and relax. The back yard in on the Capital City bike trail with 9 minutes to campus by bike, 30 minutes on foot. 7 minutes to campus by car.

The house is one block from restaurants and a coffee shop on Monroe St, a 5-minute walk to Lake Wingra. More coffee shops, restaurants, stors, Trader Joe's close by on Monroe St.

  • My wife and I had a great stay at Stefan's. Stefan was very accommodating with our travel schedules, and it was no problem to arrive late at night. Our room was clean and bright, and the house is in a great location just off of Monroe Street. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend Stefan to our fellow Airbnb'ers. Thanks again, Stefan!

  • Stefan (email hidden). I had a great stay. I was in town to do research at the Wisconsin Historical Society, which is on the UW-Madison campus. I either took the bus to campus (there was a stop a block away) or walked (which was 2 miles). You could also pick up a bike from the bike-sharing program at the bus stop. The house is in a really charming neighborhood and is close to Trader Joe's.

The room worked out great for me, and helped me stretch my budget because it was much cheaper than staying at a hotel.

Stefan really helped me out by giving me a ride to the airport when I left.

I would definitely recommend staying here.

  • My parents visited me for my graduation commencement. When I tried to book hotels, I found it was too late and almost all hotel rooms are reserved. When I switched to use airbnb, I found multiple matches fit my need. So I tried to contact some of them. I got rejected by three hosts in the beginning. Then, I found Stefan, who was willing to host. Stefan 's house is nice and clean. And the location is great; 5 minutes walk from the lake and 5 minutes drive from campus. As a host, Stefan is very approachable, he always responded my text immediately. Anyway, my parents had a great stay at Stefan's place.

  • Needed a quiet and comfy place to stay while visiting my younger (email hidden) of Wisconsin. Stefan's place was in a great neighborhood, was quiet, and very cozy. While I did not spend a lot of time at the house, Stefan offered great recommendations on places to eat and run around the area. He was very friendly and attentive as well. Very easy to communicate via text, which was a plus for me as I'm always on the go. Room was great and had a super comfy bed. I would highly recommend Stefan's place to anyone looking for nice place to stay in Madison.

  • Stefan was an excellent host! He was very friendly and made sure I had a comfortable stay. He gave me great recommendations for what to see/do in my short time in Madison. We went to a bar at one point and had an interesting chat. Plus, his house is very nice and in a great neighborhood!

  • Stefan is very hospitality, kind and supportive. He even offered me a ride to the airport and help me to carry my stuffs. His nice house is located in a very popular neighborhood that closes to many things. The room is bright, and the bed is comfortable. I would definitely recommend his place to anyone.

Thank you very much for all of your kindness Stefan!

  • We really enjoyed our stay with Stefan on Gregory St. in Madison. He'(email hidden) -- just the right balance of welcoming and privacy. The room was simple and clean, with beautiful orientation to sunrise.Stefan left water and some fruit for us, which was a nice touch! We easily shared the space of bathroom and kitchen. The neighborhood is super-convenient to shops, cafe, and walks/biking trails. For our visit, it was just Stefan, but he does have another roommate, so if that is a concern, you may want to check to see whether you will be sharing bath with more than 1 other.
