  • Marco was very accommodating, the apartment was perfectly located and as described. A word to the wise: this space reflects its locale, meaning it's rustic and quaint and evocative but not luxurious. The building is awesomely old.

  • Quintani Sole is "just right" in so many ways. It's clean, comfortable, and perfectly located, literally a minute walk from Piazza della Rebubblica. The street is one of the main streets into the walled city of Cortona yet surprisingly quiet. Don't expect pin-drop silence though. The kitchen is fully equipped, which is nice when (and if) you get sick of eating out (hard to imagine, but still).

Marco is the quintessential wonderful host. He's there when you need him, very prompt and friendly in communication, but leaves you be when he knows you are taken care of.

If you like organic wine and local products, do not miss La bottega dell’Eretico Enoteca on Via Benedetti 15, just off the main piazza. The wonderful woman there will give you a memorable wine tasting, completely gratis. The Vinsanto is to die for.

  • Marco is great- always answered us promptly- came to the parking lot to guide us to the place when we got to Cortona.

The place is very rustic and simple but was 100% serviceable.
If you want to feel like you live in Cortona this apartment offers a genuine experience. Very close to the main Piazza, close to grocery store, bakery, shops and restaurants. Website information and pictures were accurate.

We loved our experience there and wished we had stayed longer. We would recommend to friends and family.

  • We had a WONDERFUL stay in Marco's apartment. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had lots of hot water. The kitchen is fully equipped and as we were in Cortona for a few weeks, we alternated cooking "at home", with eating out at some of the excellent restaurants in the town.
The apartment is IDEALLY LOCATED in a very pretty cobbled medieval street, and is a 2 minute walk from the 2 main piazzas. Altho the piazzas are busy and bustling with energy, when you return to the apartment it is quiet and calm.
Marco is a terrific host, he recommended restaurants, and helped us out with all sorts of little questions during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and his English is good which was additionally helpful.
I can THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND this apartment for anyone wanting to stay in this lovely town. If we ever return to Cortona, we would definitely want to stay at Quintani Sole again.

  • A really comfortable, enjoyable apartment ideally located in a beautiful old city. I will definetly stay here again and recomend it strongly to others. Marco was very responsive to needs. Overall a great experience.

  • Great place, very comfortable, in a very nice city.
30 secs from the two main squares of Cortona.
    Very nice welcoming.

  • Marco's Cortona apartment was so nice and comfortable. Located right down the street from the main Piazza, it was very big for two people, let alone just me, and it had all the comforts of home. Marco was a very sweet and available host who lives in the same building (and his family as well) as the apartment, and quickly responded whether he was next door, by phone, or by email. The place was immaculate and I cannot emphasize enough of how comfortable the apartment was. A plus was that it was a very cool apartment because of the stone walls and tile floor. It made coming into the apartment from the Italian sun and heat so refreshing. I will refer his apartments as definite places to stay while visiting the Tuscan valley, and I would love to come back here as well. Grazie Marco!

  • Marco and his apartment were fabulous. What an awesome location! He had a bottle of wine for us, which we enjoyed with some local salame sitting on the beautiful steps at the little square in the center of the village. There is a restaurant just a few steps from the door of the apartment that was fabulous! The waiter there was very charming and introduced us to other guests to meet and share some wine which made the trip even better! We learned from an Australian about the place we were heading (Cinque Terre) and met a great guy from the States that has just moved to Cortona and is opening up his own B&B. What a delightful one night stay we had in Cortona.
