Very large, comfortable and light Room!
The apartment is in the middle of the Storic Centre of Rome, Trastevere, one of the most beautifull and caractheristic quartier of the capital.

The Space

This room is very large, comfortable and light!

The apartment is located in the heart of the historical center of Rome, Trastevere, one of the most charming and characteristic neighborhoods of the capital, rich in history with its beautiful medieval squares and alleys. Trastevere hosts many interesting monuments and churches of the city. During the day and in the evening the locals and tourists throng the streets of the neighborhood so full of bars of all types : bar, restaurants, pubs, Roman trattorias , shops for shopping. Situated also very close to all the strategic points of the city: San Pietro, Colosseo, Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, etc. It is perfectly connected to all other areas by very many buses , taxis and trams. In particular, there is a tram (8 ), very frequently, which stops at Trastevere Station . Here you can find the train that connects the city to the airport in just 20 minutes.
The home is very hospitable, clean and ligth and it has just two rooms for use B&B, a large bathroom with a bathtub and a second very small toilet.
Breakfast is served in a cozy room, and it consists of the typical Italian breakfast: milk, coffee, tea, barley, bread, cornflakes, croissants, biscuits, yogurt, jam, nutella, honey, butter.
The guests will be almost in their confortable house, received from the kindness and pleasantness of the host.

To arrive in my apartment from Fiumicino:
From Rome Fiumicino, if you do not want to take a taxi, you can take the train to "Rome Trastevere Station". From there you can take the tram 8 direction Piazza Venezia, and get off at Piazza Mastai. 4 minutes walking, and you will arrive at my apartment

  • Staying with Maurilio was an absolute pleasure. From the time we booked to the time we left he was a gracious and helpful host. Similar to others he helped my travel weary friend and I with our bags up the stairs, gave us info about his favorite restaurants, and informed us about some basic house rules. The neighborhood is a dream, lots of market stalls during the day, but it absolutely comes alive at night. If you are not used to sleeping through city noise I recommend bringing ear plugs. This place is great for those who want to be close to nightlife in Rome, it was a pleasure to leave the window open and let the live music and chatter from the square float in. Also good for those who enjoy walking, as to reach the main city center the easiest way is often to walk for 15minutes across the river. Had a wonderful time, would book again in an instant as the room was exactly as described, Maurilio was very welcoming, and the location was amazing.

  • We had a really great time at Maurilio's! He was a very friendly and helpful host. The room is very well located, a nice spot in Trastevere, really nice and clean.

  • Maurillio (email hidden)! He was kind enough to help us bring our bags up and down the stairs. He even gave us plenty of suggestions on where to get the best food and gelato. The room was WONDERFUL. We honestly couldn't have (email hidden)e room was large, and it had two windows that overlooked a charming restaurant. Be aware, however, that it can sometimes get noisy at night and in the morning if you decide to leave the windows open. It didn't bother us, though. Breakfast was also provided – cereal, bread, nuttella, jams, yogurt, coffee, juice, and the like. You'll probably fall in love with the neighborhood as well. You won't ever want to leave. Whenever we come to Rome again, we'll be back for sure.

  • Maurilio was een fantastische gastheer en de locatie kan niet beter! super grote kamer in een heel gezellig steegje. Alle interessante bezienswaardigheden op een boogscheut van het appartement. Wij komen zeker terug!!!!

  • Maurilio was an extremely kind and nice host. He has been very responsive at all times, very helpful and super polite. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom and kitchen as well. We loved the location in the very centre of Trastevere, possibly the best area to stay in Rome and a perfect location to start daytrips and daily sightseeing as well as having lunch, dinner and drinks. Grazie Maurilio!

  • Maurilio was a perfect gentleman in every sense of the word and went out of his way to make my stay very comfortable. He even purchased my favourite berry yoghurts and jams for breakfast. I cannot speak highly enough of him. My stay for a month could have been a disaster had he not been so easy to get along with. You feel as if it is your place but if you need help, you just knock on his door. The apartment is very clean and it is always kept tidy.

Breakfast is self catering. As well as the Italian breakfast of sweet buns, biscuits, jams, nutella and coffee there is a huge range of cereals , fruit juices, yoghurts, bread and various teas and coffees. You can get up at your leisure because you can have breakfast at any time as long as you are out of the kitchen by 11.30.

My room was very big even for 2 people, but I wanted a huge room where I could continue my international business transactions via WIFI and also continue my passion for sketching and painting. The room was furnished with a huge desk, book shelves and plenty of cupboard and hanging space. Another terrific feature was the large windows that looked out onto the characteristic cobbled streets and historically old apartment blocks of Trastevere.

Although you do share the bathroom it was never a problem as there is a second toilet. There was plenty of hot water for showers…… even a bath tub.

It is a great find as it is on a pedestrian only narrow street with a wonderful arch, is very quiet and it is only a 30 meter walk to the main Piazza of the famous and iconic Church of Santa Maria in Trastevere…… The piazza is a must for anyone visiting Rome.

Maurilio was always helpful, cheerful and very approachable if I needed something.. and he gave 110%. I do miss his warm greetings, his chats and his friendship. I would thoroughly recommend a stay with him.

  • Wonderful place in a wonderful location !
I highly recommend : Trastevere, Maurilio AND the flat !
