About this listing
Entire House, with one big bedroom and a sitting area and a private Parking. Close to two trails, bus stop (I'd suggest Uber instead for your local commutes) and Giant store, my place comes to you with 4 lbs of premium chocolate and Teavana Tea!
There is an unlimited parking- for one- right in front of the house.
Please let me know what else you might need before your stay that I can arrange for and also leave me notes on what you think I can do to better your stay next time!
You will have access to the entire house.
Interaction with Guests
I like to be able to welcome you in person and serve you the chocolate fountain and tea myself. I have a catering company that does just that, but at my house I'll do it myself! Other than that, once you make the reservation, I'll send you all other instructions you might need. For anything else, please ask!
Only 1 min from the bus stop that can take you to Downtown or the stadium (you will need to get off at the library and get on one of the free Blue or White loops- always double check with the drivers they are generously helpful).
1 minute walk to the enterprise, car rental.
3 minute walk to the Original Waffle Shop.
3 minute walking to the Giant store.
10 minute walking to PNC and the Weis Markets and Gym- The North Club.
10 minute walk to Northland Bowling Center.
one minute away from bus-stop on Blue Course Drive
*If you want to go to downtown or stadium W and N run almost every half an hour and the V bus, on North Atherton (needs a 5-minute walk) every 20 minutes but Uber is only one minute to download and there are usually two to five rides available for 6 to 7 bucks a ride.
Other Things to Note
I don't recommend my own kitchen for any big cooking events or Grilling but I have a small place in the back to sit and a small area that you can prep your food- one or two guests are fine.
I have what you need to enjoy a relaxed night with a bottle of wine- I'm more of a scotch guy myself.
Hoofer, our host, was pleasant and easy to communicate with. When I asked him about local gyms near by, he got us a guest pass for the day. The location was convenient to State college activities, but you would need a car or have to take the bus.
Hoofer' place is small - just two rooms and a bath. There is air conditioning in the kitchen, but only a ceiling fan in the bedroom. There was no cable TV. The bathroom two towels and no bath soap. There is no microwave.
This apartment is very convenient to the university, roomy and nice to be able to cook in. Hoofar was very accommodating with my questions and requests, responding right away. A good place and a nice time in State College.
Great place! Clean, friendly, convenient and would definitely stay there again.
Hoofar was a great and accommodating host with a comfortable place in a great location. Returning to State College, I would definitely stay there again!
About the Host, Hoofar
I'm an alumni of Penn State- I like reading, camping and the taste of tea and chocolate- both black. Here at State College, I also run two catering services: Happy Valley Chocolate Fountains & Tea and recently also opening Happy Valley Hookah Concierge. I worked for Penn State for almost four years as a Software Engineer but now running a small consulting firm in Downtown is my full time job.
Happy Staying in State College!
