The Space

Small but comfortable studio-apartment in the medieval old town of Trevi: fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and stove, double size bed, bathroom, table, hi-fi stereo, chairs, sofa-bed for 1 person, wardrobe, bed linen and towels. The studio is' suitable for a single traveler or a couple. The sofa bed is perfect for a child. The studio-apartment is on the ground floor of a historic building, with a separate entrance, very quiet. The car park is 50 meters far, and is free. With a few steps you are in the main square where you can find a good selection of restaurants, bars, wine bars, shops where you can buy products and foods typical of Umbrian cuisine (oil, truffles, vegetables, wine).
The studio does not have an internet connection, but you can easily use the free wi-fi zone in the main squares (few steps far from the apartment).
Trevi is an enchanting village surrounded by olive trees. The weather is sweet and sunny. You can make beautiful walks between art and nature, and (email hidden)! The main cities' art of Umbria (Assisi-WHS-Unesco, Unesco-WHS-Spoleto, Montefalco, Spello, Bevagna) are about a 15 -20 minute drive. Perugia is about 40 minutes by car. Rome and Florence can be reached in 2 hours, Arezzo in 1 hour and 20 min, either by train or by car.
During the summer and autumn there are many concerts, markets, fairs and festivals in Umbria. Every Sunday take place some beautiful antique markets (the first Sunday of every month at Pissignano; the third in Spoleto, the fourth in Perugia and Trevi). During the summer there are many concerts and events (umbria jazz, trasimeno blues, festival di spoleto). Trevi is located on the path of religious S.Franscesco of Assisi. During the month of October take place the country's traditional feast, with tastings and exhibitions of traditional food and slow food, medieval festivals, traditional tavernas. During the months of November and December you can taste the new olive oil in the many mills in the area, always open.
It's better to have a car to move and visit the countryside, but the train station is 15 minutes far by car or bus (Foligno) and it links to Rome, Florence and Ancona. From Trevi there are numerous connections to the station by a bus service. We are at your disposal for any information to help make your stay enjoyable!

  • Great spot in Trevi! We didn't meet Valeria, but her mother was a delight! We did our best to communicate since we don't speak any Italian! All went smooth and we were surprised with some yummy treats and presents! The kitchen was one of the best stocked we had seen since we like to cook. The apartment is very cold and quite damp which we worried about a little when we arrived, but it ended up being fine once we were in there and turned on the heater. We were in Trevi during the Beer Fest which was fun, but the music went on until 1:30am both nights we were there. If it hasn't been for that I imagine the location is extremely quiet. Located on a pedestrian street where most building are vacant and close to the squares made this a perfect location. Thanks for the great stay.

  • We really loved this place and Trevi. The studio has everything what you need and it is very comfortable and tasteful. I really appreciate Valeria you all messages with many important informations about transport, surroundings etc etc. You were faster, than my thoughts ;) We want to thank your mother in low so much for such a lovely and warm welcome and host. I wish I could speak Italian more than only few words, so that I could speak with her... She picked us up few times :) and we love the gift from her.
Trevi and Umbria (and Umbrian people) are wounderful. We recommend this place for 100%
    Thank you once again!

  • Very convenient location in Trevi, between Foligno and Spoleto.
The apartment is nice and very clean.
We didn't meet Valeria, but her mother in law gave us many infos about Trevi, Spoleto and Umbria Region.
    Good experience.

Assolutamente consigliato!

  • Very friendly, hospitable hosts, came out to show us the way to the house and where to park the car .

There were very useful maps and information on the area and really everything one needs to feel at home.

  • Valeria and her family are very welcoming and generous hosts! We stayed at their cozy apartment for four nights and found it and Trevi truly restorative. Communication with Valeria was a breeze before, during, and after our stay in their wonderful apartment. She was so kind to check in when it started raining to see if we needed help renting a car to see the sights, instead of our usual walking. She also gave us great suggestions of things to see and places to eat. Inside the apartment was a wealth of Trevi information, too, including hiking trails. Elena generously picked us up at the train station and even dropped us off again, early in the morning on a holiday! And when we had a question about shower, they were there within the hour to show us.

The apartment itself is clean, bright, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could've wished for to feel at home--a laundry drying rack, cushy towels, all the equipment needed for cooking 3-5 meals a day :) (the farmers market is amazing!) We really enjoyed our time there and hope to stay again if we travel through Umbria! Thank you Valeria, Elena, Danny, and Francesco!

  • We enjoyed our stay in Trevi and as we came by train and didn't have transport were grateful to be picked up by Elena. We did find it a bit hard without a car but as most days were sunny were able to enjoy the many walking trails of the area. The flat was cosy and Valeria supplied a lot of information which was very helpful.
    Many thanks Valeria & Elena.

  • Our stay in Trevi was perfect and Valeria's studio was wonderful! We were picked up from the bus stop by her mother in law; the studio was cosy and had everything we needed; there was lots of helpful information waiting for us on the table and it was always easy to communicate with Valeria. Highly recommended for a relaxing time in a small Umbrian town :) Thanks Valeria!

  • My 17 year old daughter and I were beyond thrilled with our journey to Trevi Italy and our stay at Valeria and Stephan's studio apartment. It was a true Italian village and absolutely majestic. We experienced the realness of Italy, not just the tourism. I can honestly say that even though most of the residents of Trevi did not speak English (and we knew a total of 15 words in Italian), we still managed to make some amazing friends and felt like we had lived there our whole lives. There were many tears and hugs involved on our last day and we both consider Trevi our new home away from home. All of this was of course thanks to our wonderful and kind hosts. The apartment was a great size, everything was spotless, we had plenty of hot water and room to cook with our local Trevi Olive Oil. They had a cold spell when we got there and even we had heat in the apartment, Valeria was kind enough to provide us with extra warm, fluffy blankets. I don't know what they use to wash things in, but our sheets, towels and blankets smelled amazing. Valeria and her in-laws treated us like family, offering to show us around, us going to the bar and finding a free desert and wine left for us, providing rides to and from the train station, having the front door fixed within an hour when it had swelled too much from all the rain, providing us with very detailed info on everything to do in the area, bus and car rental info etc...the kindness never stopped. I am hoping they will someday come visit us in America so we can repay all the love and generosity. Trevi was an amazing central location to everything in Italy and train prices were very cheep. We spent a lot of time exploring the countryside via all the hiking trails, went to the local theatre (amazing), ate local foods that I dream about nightly and will never have anything so amazing until I return to Trevi. We did survive without a car, but next time we go, I will for sure rent one, so we have more time to explore smaller towns as it is very safe to drive in this area. I cannot recommend Trevi and Valeria's apartment enough. You will be welcomed into a family and you will leave missing them all and wanting to buy a home in Trevi. It was the most special part/experience of our entire trip throughout Italy. There is a wonderful little grocery store, the friendliest Bar in the world, many local restaurants with great food, a quick bite pizza place and more. The best place to eat is at Ristorante Osteria la Vecchia Posta. When you go, tell Marco that Tammy and Madison miss him and our daily amazing meals! Thank you Valeria and Stephan for posting this perfect apartment on Airbnb, so we could have memories of a lifetime!
