We had such a wonderful stay in the artists bungalow! The photos do not do its sweetness justice!
It's clean and cozy and the bath is beautiful! We would love to return!
The bungalow was clean, quiet very private. It was rustic with oodles of artistic charm and individual flair! The fire was a lovely touch, although it was very hot on our second night and so the fan was very much appreciated. Cape Woolamai is a quieter part of the island that still has some food options and a great surf beach.
Charlotte's bungalow is a beautiful place to stay. The bungalow is surrounded by bush and is bohemian hideaway from the rest of the world. All the amenities to have a great weekend away, a great homebase to explore the island from. A very short walk to the beach and shops aren't too far away either. Charlotte as a host is great, lots of friendly communication and makes you feel at ease. Thanks Charlotte : )
Charlotte's studio was a truly delightful place to stay. The garden was beautiful, and the bird life was remarkable. When we arrived, Charlotte gave us a useful tour of the area, but then left us alone and were in total privacy for the rest of our stay.
The kitchen was small, but had everything we needed for simple meals. The CD player was good and had a wide range of classical and swing to play. Both the bathroom and the main studio were decked out with candles and arts and had lovely views of the private garden outside. The bed was comfortable, although if you're taller than 5'10" you may want to push the couch out of the way to get extra leg room. (It looks like the foot of the bed in the photo, but it can actually be moved).
There was a short walk to shops or the beach, but you'd want a car if you were going any farther than that.
All in all this was wonderful place to stay, and we would definitely stay here if coming back to Phillip Island in future.
We had a lovely 4 night stay in Charlotte's bungalow with our dog. The bungalow and garden are very private and close to the beach. The bath was amazing! Charlotte was very helpful and we would definately stay again.
A lovely pretty bungalow with a gorgeous garden full of nature, particularly birds.
A great space to escape and relax with some beautiful beaches nearby.
Charlotte the host was very nice and friendly, and left us some thoughtful notes.
A fab place to stay!
Staying at the bungalow was like dropping off the grid into another time where nature and relaxation are all that exist. An easy walk to one of the most beautiful beaches where the power of mother nature humbles you. Charlotte gave us some wonderful pointers on the places to go and where to see the most beautiful sunsets.
I am an artist from Vienna,Austria and have become a semi-recluse
on this beautiful Cape on Phillip Island,Australia-.
I observe the wildlife from my "bird-tower-house" overlooking the Nature Reserve.
I do my artworks, read, listen to the wind , the sound of the ocean or music
and walk with my hilarious little white dog along the awesome Woolamai-Ocean beach or tranquil Safety beach.
Renting my Studio turned out [ to my surprise ] a joy rather than a chore--
My guests have private, secluded accommodation with no intrusions from anyone--
[ ti-tree-fence around their bush garden including 2 blue tongue lizards and an echidna in residence]
but some guests have been coming back for years now and have become friends
and we enjoy a glass of Prosecco together and a laugh before their departure.--
