  • Silvia’s home was located in a great area less than 5 minutes from Termini Station, which made it extremely easy to get to all tourist sites within Rome as well as reach the Terravision bus station nearby. We were able to cover much of Rome's sights in 3 days.

The apartment was great with enough room to spare for the five of us. The only thing we’d note is that the shower and its curtains were a bit awkward to use but it’s not so bad that it ruined our experience. The apartment is located right across the street from a nice Italian restaurant called Elettra, as well as other various pizza places nearby.

  • We were a family of four adults. Appartment was clean n spacious n each room had high ceilings. It was 3 min walk from termini station so it was handy. The only downfall was the shower with its curtain. It didn't cover the cubicle well so water was always on the floor. Overall not really an issue. Enjoyed staying there. Would come again. Thank you granducci family. 7-14 oct 13.

  • Silvia’s apartment is situated in a very nice and busy area, a very short way (about 350m) from Termini Station. All modes of transport are easily accessible at Termini; taxis, trains, buses and the Metro that will take you to any destination in Rome or Italy for that matter. Our airport bus dropped us at Termini and we could walk with our luggage to the apartment which was easily located on the map.

The apartment itself is large and fully equipped with all the appliances necessary for a comfortable stay. It was neat and well kept with grand old-style furniture. All beds were comfortable and we had enough bedding and clean towels. There was a washing machine and an industrial type steam iron that we did not touch as we were not sure whether we may use it or not.

We were 5 adults sharing but never felt cramped as there is enough space to move around. The place is very secure with a doorman on duty during the day. The huge external doors are locked at night and only authorised persons have access to the block. We loved the old-style lift which could only take 3 passengers at a time. Its interior is beautifully finished off with lacquered wood.

Though we never saw Silvia herself, communicating with her was always easy before and during occupation. Her father was at hand to welcome us and to collect the taxes. He also came on time to collect the keys on the day of our departure.

The area is very safe to walk at night. There is an abundance of restaurants in the street below serving great pastas and pizzas (who would want to eat anything else in Italy?). There is a mini market around the corner and a large supermarket down the road where you can buy fresh foods every day. There are American styled fast food outlets at Termini for those who wish. The pharmacy is around the corner and the area is dotted with enough stores and small shops to appease your curiosity. This area probably has the most hotels per square kilometre in the entire Rome.

I have no hesitation to recommend Silvia’s apartment for a comfortable stay in a great area in Rome. All the touristic places like Trevi Fountain, Via Condotti and the Spanish Steps are only a few stops away on the Metro and the ticket costs only €1.50 cents.

    Response from Silvia:

Hello Errol, thank you for your report.
I'm sorry you had problems with the washing machine and iron, but for me it is normal that all that is in the apartment is available to guests and I have not found it necessary to reiterate this.
In the small room with the refrigerator, there are all the technical manuals that you wanted (also in English).
Best regards from Silvia and his father Luciano

  • We had a great time at Home Santa Maria Maggiore. Everything was exacly as described, the house was clean, confortable, spacious and we found everything that we need it.
The apartament is very close from Roma Termini witch was perfect to get the train. There's a lot of options of restaurant, bars and supermarket close to the apartment.
