  • The location of the studio was amazing, and I loved sitting out on the balcony taking in the scenery. Driving to town from the house wasn't too bad at all. However, I couldn't sleep at all the two nights we were there. The mattress and pillows were too flat and hard for my personal preference, even with the provided pillowed blanket. Sedona was very beautiful though, and the lack of sleep didn't impact our enjoyment of the town. I'm just noting it in case any other fragile sleepers out there want to pack some extra squishy blankets and pillows.

The neighborhood frightened us at first because the road turns into a rocky path to get to the house with a very steep driveway, with us driving a small sports car, but it's a lot easier to drive on and get to the house than it looks.

  • The condo was prefect for a weekend getaway and great with kids as only a few steps to the volleyball court and the pool.
Rachel was so easy to work with - she replied to emails within minutes and was very helpful. Thank you!

  • We have not been to Sedona and did not appreciate what it meant to face cathedral Rock. The entire experience was a delight, the house was a modern charmer, wonderfully laid out, the views wonderful, internet access and hard line phone helped my needs for business contact. The entire expefience ws wonerful. Rachel handled the questions we had with incredible speed and efficiency. It could not be improved

  • Let me first say that Sedona is beautiful, and this room has a beautiful view! Other than that, I didn't have the best experience here. Rachel wasn't there for check-in due to checking in another listing, which I don't mind at all, but she failed to let me know that the bathroom electricity wasn't working. There was an extension chord running through the bathroom door, making sure there was no way you could close it, and a only a workers clamp light for seeing what your doing. There were a few other things that weren't that big of a deal, but when you add it all up, and take into account the price, the "cleaning fee", and the fact that they require you to basically clean the place yourself, it all was just irritating. And Rachel wasn't really any help. I emailed her when I found these things, but it was just kind of a deal-with-it situation. Not that I expected her to come fix it, but I did expect an apology at the subpar conditions of the apartment, or maybe even a refund on the cleaning fee, just something. What good is a beautiful stone shower if the lights don't work and the shower pressure is zero. They have a copious amount of house rules for the renter, yet they don't live up the their end of the bargain. Even when I told Rachel about there being no detergent (because they require you to wash the towels before you leave) she just said I needed to buy some more.
I've stayed in so many wonderful airbnb's; this was my first bummer, which is a pity because Sedona is great.
The price of this listing makes it seem like a luxury apartment, and it could be if the property managers took the least bit of care to make it so. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

  • Rachel and her brother Alex are very nice and they are well intentioned. I had originally booked the studio for 3 nights but only two were available. Arriving late the first day Alex was beyond nice enough to meet in upper Sedona and show me the way to the house and studio. The studio is nicely decorated, has a good vibe and spectacular view from the balcony and from behind the sliding glass doors. Under normal circumstances I would have relaxed at the house and on the balcony as I was coming from an extremely draining experience playing the sxsw music festival and driving from Texas. However, the morning of the only full day I stayed a plumbing company showed up, at 8:30am to work on the lines. I was pretty much forced to get out of there or suffer the disturbance and noise. Rachel said that she became aware of this after I had booked the place, as I would have stayed elsewhere. She did not respond to my request to not pay the full rate as I would have had a much better stay without that surprise disturbance. More then a matter of money, the principle was my experience was not as advertised. I don't imagine this would happen to most of the guests, so would still rate the studio highly if not the integrity of the hosts, as far as it would relate to the plumbing experience. Most everything else was good. The bed is nice. The hot tub does not work properly and was over chlorinated. After lifting the top my eyes began to burn , I turned on the pump and could not get it off, most of the buttons were unresponsive. The shower also seems to be not functioning correctly, there was little option between quite hot and cold. Despite all this I give it 4 stars, it is a great place to stay. Nothing is perfect. The view makes up for a lot. It is in a quiet neighborhood, relaxing on the deck or on the hammock is a wonderful experience. The location is a little bit out of west sedona but not far at all and peaceful.

  • Rachel's studio in Sedona was perfect. It was quaint and quiet, situated just off the main house with beautiful views just as shown in the pictures. Even though the main house was occupied during our stay, I felt that our balcony and unit were very private, as Rachel indicated it would be. It's about a 10 minute drive from Downtown Sedona and very easy to get to from either direction. It's also just over a mile from Red Rock State Park, which we very much enjoyed. The price was also very reasonable for the location. And Rachel was very easy to access via the site or by mobile. I was absolutely stay again on my next trip to Sedona.

  • Listing was as expected. Very nice property.

    March 2014
  • There's nothing quite like pulling back the curtains to the deck in the morning and seeing that view of the red rocks from Kokopelli Studio. And although there's no stovetop (only a double hot plate and microwave), we were able to cook many enjoyable meals here. My husband and I were quite comfortable and appreciated the privacy of the neighborhood and its proximity to Oak Creek/Crescent Moon trail. Rachel was completely accessible by e-mail and gave clear directions and guidelines for our stay.
