Room was as advertised- VERY small, but I was here to visit family and am quasi-familiar with SF, so for my needs it was perfect. Comfy bed, but not recommended for light sleepers- the walls are very thin. The bathroom could also use an update and lighting is an issue in general. I used the flashlight feature on my phone a few times. Still- cheap (in a very pricey city) quaint, (older SF house with character) and perfect for folks who don't need a lot of frills. Would stay here again!

The room is clean and a little small but that was expected and part of the general reviews. I didn't mind though because I was travelling alone and it came off as a cozy room even. Close and walkable to Haight-Ashbury which has lots of interesting restaurants and shops. Grocery story is walkable(few blocks away) too!

Great location, good price and ideal for someone who just needs a place to rest their head at night. I really wanted to spend my time exploring the city, and on a budget at that, which this location made easy to do. Be ready to climb some stairs if you plan on packing a lot!

Generally as advertised, my room was a pretty basic small room with shared bath but suited my needs on this trip. Specific: There were many eating and drinking options within 2-3 blocks (including WF), I did not use the microwave. Also I walked in the many surrounding parks very close to the park. The room is up a spiral stair and I found the design and dimensions of a Victorian-Edwardian type home interesting. The parts a person travels through are high enough for most adults. The bed is solo but at 6" with a little extra size (all muscle), I never felt cramped and also spent some time comfortably reading. That said, it's definitely solo. Bed soft for those who like it that way. My medium pack and small sack didn't overwhelm the room when I kept them mostly packed in the far corner and a near alcove with suitcase stand. There is also a power strip near the latter bolted on the wall for a number of chargers; I used my pack on the stand to lay my recharging units flat. The #7 Muni bus route took me 1.5 blocks from the property to and fro Market Street and Union Sq, so cannot remark on parking .. but it looked ok.
