Our stay was terrific! Louise was so friendly and nice--we had coffee and croissants with her one morning for breakfast. We wish we could have stayed longer! The house is beautiful, clean, and exactly as pictured. Our room was very comfortable. We had a car, so the parking space came in handy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in SF. Also--if you're hesitating to stay here because you're not a dog person, have no fear! We generally aren't dog people, but we LOVED their dog. She is really quiet and unobtrusive and never barked or jumped on us, etc. She really didn't pay much attention to us.

We had a wonderful time with Jim and Louise. Not only did we sleep comfortably but we all had coffee together and had wonderful chats. We found we had many shared life experiences. It was do grounding and welcome to get to know such interesting people. They recommended wonderful restaurants and took us on a tour of their garden! What a great experience!

Jim and Louise were very gracious hosts. The room was adequate and the bed was very comfortable. Jim and Louise were very friendly and gave us many tips for local eateries and things to do. The parking spot and proximity to the bus/BART lines were wonderful. Jim and Louise were very flexible with check in/check out times. It was also a big bonus waking up to coffee and croissants. We highly recommend their place and would stay there again.

Louise and Jim were lovely people and the house was perfect! My bed was very comfortable and the bath had everything that you would need. Penny, their little poodle was very sweet as well. I love the Glen Park area - it has wonderful restaurants and cafés and it so conveniently located. It was an added bonus that they provide you with a parking space - a rarity in the city. Their home is across from Glen Park, one of my favorite parks in SF. This would be the perfect place for a family to rent with the park and the new playground so nearby. I will definitely return!

My husband and I stayed with Jim and Louise. Super nice people.Of course Penny was adorable. They both had suggestions on what to do and see. The bus station is very close by also. We basically only slept there.Location was a 5 star. The bed 5 star. The room itself was kind of cluttered and was hard to find a plug in to charge phone. Room was colder than what we like but Louise did turn up heat to 67 but still cold. She had extra blankets on the bed. I'm sure she would of turned it up more if we would of (URL HIDDEN) that was uncomfortable. The bathroom location was kind of far off from the room but it was a comfortable temp. This was our first time staying. I think I would ask next time what temp is before booking this type of stay.

I stayed with Louise and Jim for five nights. They where the perfect hosts. I had a private bedroom with a private shower. Every morning they had croissants, coffee or tea available to me. Their house was 15 minutes from the San Francisco International airport and 10 minutes to downtown San Francisco. The parking stop they provided was a plus. Louise and Jim where also available and glad to help out with travel advice.

Louise And Jim User ProfileLouise And Jim is a superhost.

We love keeping active, body, mind and soul. Jim retired as director of a senior citizens center, and Louise retired as an English and creative writing professor at the local community college. She now teaches small memoir workshops and Jim teaches history classes. Louise writes and is working on her fifth book. We both love to interact with people of all ages and we are tolerant and open people. Jim runs three times a week, works on his art, reads, does house projects and volunteer work. He loves watching sports. We both love reading both fiction and non-fiction, visiting museums, watching movies, seeing plays, visiting with family and friends and experiencing the great outdoors. We love meeting new people from all around the world. We travel back East once a year to visit family, and Louise recently taught a workshop in St. Thomas where her sister lives. We love to travel in California, as well. Louise went to the U. of Wisconsin and keeps up with college friends and she and Jim both attended the University of Buffalo. We visit Buffalo where Jim grew up and New York City where Louise grew up! We also have grandchildren in Connecticut so love to visit the East Coast.
We also still love to camp and Jim recently climbed to the top of Telescope Peak in Death Valley. We're also both independent people and understand and respect the need for privacy!
