About this listing
Private one bedroom apartment in a duplex-converted 1910 classic Portland craftsman style house in the Laurelhurst neighborhood. Residential street off the bustling 28th and East Burnside strip. Big kitchen, back deck/patio, newly remodeled.
This is a great apartment to call home base during your extended trip to Portland. The location is stellar in what we consider the best neighborhood of the city. A hotbed of places worth visiting within walking distance. Other destination areas such as Downtown, The Pearl District, and Hawthorne all within minutes.
This space is ideal for one or two as it has only one queen bed though another could be welcome on the couch. No more then four at a time please.

Interaction with Guests
We travel/live elsewhere and all communication with us will happen via email/phone. Renee is the permanent tenant in the upstairs apartment. There is a shared hallway and private entrances to each apartment.
I'm happy to help long-distance in any way possible and Renee is available as well should any problems arise.
I've lived all over the city and believe this to be the best neighborhood. Its a central location, two blocks to Whole Foods, and a multitude of other restaurants, and coffee shops.
To eat - Bamboo Sushi, Kens Pizza, Paadee, Navarre, Laurelhurst Market, and Pambiche are my immediate favorites. For inexpensive bites head to the food carts on 28th or a sandwich at Meat Cheese Bread. Coffee and bakery best found at Crema.
Head up to Laurelhurst Park for a stroll or catch a movie at Laurelhurst theater - $4 tickets and beer!
More then happy to give any other recommendations per request, from shopping to haircuts etc, I've done everything there could possible be to do within a two mile radius of this house and its an extensive list.
The number 20 bus runs up and down Burnside ave every twenty minutes. Goes right over the Burnside bridge to take you Downtown or Pearl District or transfer you other buses. Close to the MAX lines and street car also.
House is about twenty minutes from the Portland airport.
Free parking on street
Other Things to Note
For longer stay guests note that garbage is picked up every other week (like this all over Portland) while recycling/compost/yard waste is every week. Please do your best to recycle when possible.
Smoking is allowed outside ONLY and dispose of stubs in garbage or ashtray.
The house has older plumbing and can get backed up easily. Please be conscious of this in bathroom and kitchen - No feminine products or food waste in the pipes.
If you'd like to bring pets contact me and we can discuss.
Please note there are no pets living here currently but there have been in the past.
Cora's air bnb is so cute and in the perfect location. I never met her but she was friendly and responsive. I would recommend it and stay here again.
We enjoyed Cora's home in Portland very much. It was exactly as described with spacious and comfortable living, bed and kitchen areas. The local area had an abundance of very good food, coffee, wine and beer and only a few blocks away from public transport. Highly recommend this AirBnB.
Cora's home was lovely. Spacious, full kitchen, comfy bed. Loved the eclectic decor as well! Took my son on a Portland adventure and this is exactly what we were looking for. The Laurelhurst neighborhood has wonderful restaurants, shops and is a great location. Quiet neighborhood with lots of interesting (phone number hidden)s houses. Although there was an upstairs tenant during the time we stayed there, we hardly heard anything out of them. Cora was extremely attentive, very quick responses for my inquiries. Would love to stay here upon my return. How can you beat a good brewery one block away? Thanks Cora!
Cora's home was a wonderful place to stay during our recent trip to Portland. The space was as described in the listing, plenty of space for the two of us, and a nice kitchen. The neighborhood was great - lots of street parking, near restaurants, coffee, a great food cart pod (featuring a brewery in a bus!) and public transit.
Cora was very helpful and responsive. We had an issue with connecting to the WiFi which she was very quick to solve! I appreciated that she was so available to help us :)
My only regret is that I didn't stay longer! This is a beautiful apartment with a fantastic kitchen. The area of town is super hip - nifty restaurants and stores that are all in walking distance. I parked my car out front and walked the rest of my stay. Cora was awesome to work with and took quick care of my concerns to make my stay pleasant and comfortable. I'll be back!
We had a great time at this location. It was so nice to walk to restaurants and shopping, so fabulous. We never had a problem with parking and the neighborhood was very quiet. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable.
