  • Danila was very accommodating. We arrived early, and left really early, but she took the time to meet us at arrival, and even order a taxi for us at departure. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and conveniently located. All in all Danilas B&B is offers very good value for money.

  • I had incredible moments with Danila´s Family, so good that It´s even hard to describe. I was looking not only for o nice place to stay, but for a family to pass Christimas with. Danila invited me to the celebrations at her mother´s house. What a beautiful family, such nice people! I stayed there at the Dec24th night, Dec 25th from lunch to night and on my last dinner in Rome. They recieved me with opened hearts, everyone was very friendly and lovely. I really felt at home, like if I was one of the old date friends present. It was an incredible expirience and I had the chance to exchange a lot and to enjoy a real Italian family Xmas. By the end we became friends, I really hope to recieve then in Brazil and to have a chance to meet nonna (Danila´s mother) again.
Danila´s apartment is nice, very clean, confortable and have easy acces to the old center of Rome. The breakfast was great. I would definetely stay there again and I strongly recommend Danila´s bnb to everyone!

  • Danila is very nice, accomodating, and laid back. Her apartment, while a bit of a trek from Rome's center, is close to the Trastevere district, which has some of the best night life the city has to offer!

  • While the location is not in the middle of the “old” Rome, it is well connected with it and with the airport. Restaurants/bars at walking distance. The room I had was a good size and clean. Danila was really helpful. Good value for money and would stay there again.

  • This was a great place to stay and Danila was a very nice and helpful host, she gave me all of the info I needed to discover Rome on the fly. Clean place with a great view from the terrace, not centrally located but just a quick ride to everything you need and a nice quiet change from the chaos of central Rome. Also the room was nice and cool with A/C, essential for Rome in August.

  • As the other reviewers have said, Danila's apartment is very cute and cozy, and I was lucky enough to be the only one staying there for the 2 nights I rented it. She was very warm and hospitable and provided not only the usual amenities but also access to the kitchen with an espresso maker, fresh bread and cookies, cheese, and other treats.

However my stay there was one of the most frustrating times during my travels this summer, so I have to mention this as well.

The apartment was supposed to be equipped with Wifi, but when I arrived at 9 pm at night (too late to check into another place after having traveled all day), Danila informed me that the internet would not be turned on until her next guests were arriving 2 days later. Since I was in the middle of planning an extensive trip and also had a ton of work to do while I was there, this was a huge inconvenience for me. I would not have booked the room in the first place if I had known there was no Wifi. That was one of the specific amenities I used in my search and was a major prerequisite in booking a place to stay.

Because of the lack of wifi, I basically lost out on an entire day in Rome. The next night, I had to lug my laptop around to restaurants and cafes for 5 hours looking for a wifi spot downtown (a 20 minute tram ride away) and still didn't find anywhere to use the internet. There were a few local sketchy-looking internet spots in the neighborhood where the apartment was located, but they all closed at 5 pm. Since I was working with people back home in the US, I needed to be using my laptop at night.

Additionally, although I wouldn't say that the neighborhood was dangerous per se, I definitely did not feel comfortable carrying my laptop around after dark so I had to take a 25EUR cab ride back home. When I asked a guy how safe he thought the area was around the apartment, he said, "Eh... Somewhat. Be careful." I think that's a pretty accurate description.

For sightseeing during the day and if you don't plan to go out at night, this apartment is very cute and really homey (which is what I loved). However, because of its far distance to the historical center and tourist area and the somewhat disconcerting feeling of the neighborhood at night, I would recommend booking a place much closer to the center of town if you plan on going out during the evening, have kids, or are a woman traveling alone.

Danila was very nice and I've tried to be fair in my review, but this truly was my worst stay in Europe during my travels. When I asked her for a discount because of the lack of wifi and inconvenience, she merely dismissed me saying I could have used one of the internet shops during the day or traveled all the way to her other apartment, either of which were a huge inconvenience.

  • Danila is a great hostess. Her apartment is in a nice area of town, where you truly feel you are among locals and not tourists. The #8 tram is very close and the apartment is well furnished and clean.

Danila is also very helpful and willing to go the extra mile for her guests.

  • The apartment is very clean, beautifully decorated, and is in a wonderful location in Trastevere. For 8 Euros, the train from the airport gets you to the apartment in 20 minutes. 1 Euro on the tram gets you into the heart of Rome in under 5 minutes. Danila is very nice and she spent time with me explaining the maps and bus routes in the city. It was a wonderful vacation. I will be back!!!

  • This was my first stay in a shared space (i.e., without a standalone apartment), and it was a relatively good one.

Danila is a great host, very friendly, and helpful with contact/directions about the area near Trastavere. The location itself is very well served by public transport, both from the airport (the cheaper non-express train stops at Trastevere, a 10 minute walk from the apartment), and tram, which takes you to near the centre of town from outside the apartment in 15 minutes. Access to the metro is also easy via Roma Trastevere/Roma Ost. train station.

One negative experience I had was that the other guests locked me out of the apartment one night! There's a deadlock that only seems to be openable from the inside, so make sure any other guests know. In any case, Rome in the morning is fun.

Overall, the place is well kept, and there's even breakfast food on offer! I'd definitely consider staying again.
