Nice apartment of 85sqm in the most fascinating area of Rome where Campo dei Fiori joins the Jewish Ghetto district, the most trendy city center.
The property is on the first floor of a particular building, overlooking a small square that makes the house lighting.
The apartment consists of a small entrance that overlooks the lounge area with a large living room, it fornitures with sofa, desk and TV library. this links through an ancient wall into the dining room with a large refectory table, kitchen with washing machine. From the living room are just a few steps through the two bedrooms the masterbed with queensize and tthe other with 2 beds which if necessary can be combined to form a second double bed. There is a cute bath fully equipped with shower unit. The property includes a nice loft space where is placed a large bed with bedside tables. There is a very large space for the pantry too.
The apartment is easily accessible by public transport, but for people who come from airport I can arrange a comfortable and free stress trasfert service that takes you directly to the apartment in just 30 minutes. The rate of the service depends on the number of passengers and luggage.
The house being composed of multiple layers is provided with some internal steps, This could be unsafe for very young children.
If you're a looking for a good, quiet and not expensive accomodation in the center of Rome (5 minutes walking from Campo dei Fiori, Trastevere, Campidoglio) this is the best solution.
This apartment is all about the location. Ermanno was a great host and had a valuable list of places to eat and drink. He even took us on a tour of the local area. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need, but it could do with a bit of love.
APPARTEMENT TRÈS BIEN SITUE .PROCHE DE LA PLACE CAMPO DEI FIORI QUI EST ANIME LE JOUR COMME LA NUIT .
LES PHOTOS SONT PLUS ÉLOGIEUSES QUE LA RÉALITÉ MAIS L'APPARTEMENT SE SITUE DANS UNE CALME.
LES DEUX CHAMBRES SONT CONFORTABLES ,PAR CONTRE LA CHAMBRE SOUS MEZZANINE AU DESSUS DE LA CUISINE MANQUE DE HAUTEUR ET L’ACCÈS IL EST DIFFICILE.
This flat is perfect location for walking around and exploring Rome. We went with our two young children (9&6) and they managed to walk to all the sites and back to the flat.
The flat, although spacious is quite tired and facilities are quite basic I don't think anyone lives there on an on going basis. There were hanging facilities anywhere in the flat even to put our coats. There was limited seating in the lounge only one decent sofa to sit on and basic amenities in the kitchen, no kettle, limited cups, glasses and crockery. But for a short break we managed fine as we weren't cooking in the flat.
I think the worst part was probably the bathroom where the shower was not very nice by the end of the 4 days I was glad to be leaving it behind!
Ermanno arranged a pick up from the station, unfortunately the driver was late and we waited for about 50 mins for him. However Ermanno was very responsive when I called and emailed him getting back to me quickly and dealing with the situation.
Paulo checked us in he was waiting for us and very friendly giving us some tips on the local area. We contacted him a couple of times during the break with questions and he was always quick and responsive.
Overall a good place to stay for a short visit. Rome was lovely in October.
Had a great stay at this charming apartment. A great location, with plenty of eating and drinking options nearby. Campo dei Fiori is only a couple of minutes away, as is the tram across the river to Trastevere.
The apartment has plenty of room for a family or 2 or more couples, and is fitted with everything you need.
Transfer service arranged by host was also of great quality, and value, especially given we were delayed by an hour in the air on arrival.
You can't fault the location of this place, it's at the heart of the action and yet very quiet at night, just the perfect combo. But the flat, while cheap is also pretty shabby, especially the bathroom where the shower recess was crummy by any standards. Also no hanging or storage space in upper bedroom whatsoever, which is mean and impractical. The upstairs bedroom is really a mezzanine shared with lower bedroom so if you are sharing with friends who snore, you hear, and vice versa, so the space is quite intimate and not private at all.
In the sitting room there was one decent sofa and one very uncomfortable velvet chair so four people sharing have trouble sitting comfortably. The reading light in the main bedroom was excellent but appalling in the second bedroom.
The kitchen is not very well equipped and could do with upgrading some utensils.
Basically my understanding is this is not an owner airbnb but a sublet and it feels a little neglected and uncared for. As our host Emilio was completely indifferent and unapologetic when dust from upstairs renovations covered our things and we were disturbed by persistent drilling. An apology would have been the decent and gracious thing. The flat was also not ready on time despite very clear info about our arrival time and there is nothing more depressing when you have travelled for 23 hours than being met by someone else's laundry and rubbish and then on top of it all, the cleaner first not turning up and then taking four hours to do a job we were told would take two. A shrug just is not the adequate response. While it was nice that Emilio showed our friends who arrived first round the neighbourhood, they were desperate to collapse and have wash and could not do either.
I know you get what you pay for but we have had other airbnb experiences at this pricepoint that represented much more genuine care and thoughtfulness.
all i can say is: great location
if you want to be in the middle of old rome, just a few minutes walking distance from the major tourist spots (except spanish steps... those are a bit further away), then this is the pace.
