  • My stay at the Parkview B&B was absolutely wonderful. Helen and her family were so nice and helpful. My little cottage was so cute and beautifully decorated, it had everything I could need and more! My only wish is that I could have stayed a little longer. As noted before breakfast is wonderful and the garden feels like an oasis. My stay was as close to perfect as one could get!

  • Perfect location for us with lots of cafes, shops and friends in nearby suburbs. Parkview is a lovely old suburb of Johannesburg and the house we stayed in was a god example of the houses in this area. The 3 bedroomed Corner House we stayed in was spacious, well equipped, clean and has secure parking. Helen and Darryl were helpful but discrete hosts. At the time we stayed the only drawback for us was the lack of an internet connection to the house but I know that this is being addressed. We would happily stay again when we return to Johannesburg

Thanks for the review and we look forward to hosting you again.
We are pleased to let you know that a second ADSL line has been installed to reach the top units.
In most areas in South Africa internet is unfortunately slow as our cables are old and not fibre optic. This additional line will make access easier but we will still not have a super fast first world connection capable of fast video links.

About
My husband Darryl and I own and run a Bed and Breakfast in Parkview, where we have lived for the past 30 years. We started the B & B in 2009 when our 2 children went away to university in Cape Town. I enjoy art and gardening, and Darryl is an engineer. He loves nature and wildlife, and is the Event Director at our local parkrun - and for parkrunners around the world, our run is Delta We love travelling, although haven't done much recently. If I have a favourite city, ( that of course second to Johannesburg) It would be Paris. We have met such wonderful people over the years and have made many friends.
