About this listing
Here is my 2 bedroom home available for you. There is a double room available or the entire home (check availability). The non smoking property has a lounge, kitchen and toilet. The home is situated in a very quiet col-du-sac with views across open farmland from the rear of the property. Less than a 5 minuted walk from Lymington high street. The high street has bars and restaurants and for Lymington train station is only a 5 minute walk away.
During your stay you can access the New Forest and if you are feeling energetic you can cycle, run and walk from the front door. Lymington Marshes is a very popular to walk along the sea shore, a 19th century lido is in the town as well as a leisure centre. You can get on the water with the rowing and sailing clubs in the town and there is a surf spot (Highcliffe) a 10 minute drive from the property and Mudeford quay is a very safe harbour to learn to windsurf.
The Isle of Wight beckons the adventurous visitor with a short boat ride across the Solent to Yarmouth. From Yarmouth there are frequent bus services to the Needles, the iconic landmark at the entrance of the Solent.
There are endless opportunities for an action packed day here in Lymington, but you can easily relax on the bustling high street where the weekly Saturday market entices you to experience the flavour of the Forest.
I would expect guests to be courteous and respectful of my home and treat it like their own.
Terry's home is very welcoming - it is tastefully decorated, has everything one needs, including a very enjoyable garden. There is a well-appointed kitchen, lounge/dining room and bathroom on the ground floor, and two spacious bedrooms on the first floor. Free parking is a great bonus, and we found the location convenient to access both the coast and inland attractions. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend this host.
Terrys place was just the right size of two couples. Located on the edge of New Forest and in easy walking distance of Lymington main st and some great pubs (The Monkey House is recommended). He left excellent instructions on how to get there and has excellent facilities as well as a lovely garden, perfect for an afternoon wine and cheese. Well recommended.
Terry's spotlessly clean home is delightful. We enjoyed our stay very much, including the breakfast left ready for us. The house is a ten minute walk from the town where we found some great places to eat. The garden has plenty of sunny places to sit with a glass of wine after a busy day. We didn't meet Terry, but he went to a lot of trouble to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Sarah
Sehr schöner Garten, sehr angenehmes Dorf, wir haben es sehr genossen, in der Hafengegend morgens das Treiben zu beobachten.
Lovely home, very clean and tidy and conveniently located. Easy parking and close to high street. Perfect base to visit the New Forest by being close to woods and ponies and seaside at the same time.
Would definitely stay there again.
We staying in Terry's beautiful house for the Easter weekend as we were in much need of some fresh air and relaxing. The house is in the perfect location for a short stole to High Street and there are some great walks in the area. The house was clean and tidy and was just what we needed. With the added touch of juice, tea, coffee and milk ready to greet us. Unfortunately the weather didn't let us use the outside space but it looks like the perfect spot for a sunny day. Although we didn't actually meet Terry he was quick to respond to all my questions. Did exactly what we needed and we are ready to face the month ahead!!
The house was perfect for us to have our New Forest break, parking easy, clean and tidy with everything available that we might need. Garden wonderful! Terry was in contact regularly and promptly. Would definitely recommend this property.
