The apartment is the ground floor of a detached house within walking distance of the center of Utrecht (1.5 km from Neude, Vredenburg and Central Station) and half an hour by train to Amsterdam Central Station.
(From 16 october until 16 march I will rent out only for 3-5 months for € 695 p/m)
The bus is around the corner, 300 meters away you have the canal “De Vecht” through which you can make a nice walk through the center. There on your right at the water there is Restaurant “Blij” where you can eat very well. A bit further you have the Italian ice cream parlor with delicious fresh ice cream you can eat by the water. There you have also been a few nice pubs and galeries but I rather tell you personally.
Also you can make beatifull cycling tours along the Vecht along mills and Maarsseveenseplassen where you can also enjoy swimming and that less than 5 km away. I have a big garden there I love to show you
This cozy house has a large private kitchen and double doors to a garden on the South. The device gives a reflection of the many trips I've made through Asia, Africa and South America. They are actually three areas that I have as practicable furnished so you can stay comfortable there even with 4 people only, only the living area a bit tighter.
There are two single beds and a solid sleepingcouch (1m40). Depending on with how many people you will stay. Standard with a person I make a single bed. When you are with two people I will use the sleeping couch or another single bed. Please tell me what your relation is.
There is a toilet and a shower that you share with me. The toilet is downstairs but the shower is up stairs.
There is no standard breakfast at but I like to do (simple) groceries at the supermarket so you do not need to go right out on arrival. Please tell me at least 3 days in advance. There is a small grocery store just around the corner and the Jumbo is 500m, Aldi, Albert Heijn and Eko Plaza 650m and a Plus, Action, drugstore and more 800 meters. You also have the 300m Amsterdamsestraatweg known for its many specialty shops and (take-away) restaurants.
When needed please mention while booking:
- Desired check-in time
- Division of bed places
- Shopping List
I would love to meet you!
With cheerful greeting,
Mira (Mirrar Homestay)

I am living upstairs but might be at my boyfriend or gardenhouse once in a while. I always try to be at the check in and check out for answering your questions.

There are buses to the centre and the North, just around the corner (1 minute) and it takes 7 minutes to Utrecht Central Train Station

The accommodation was lovely and Mira was an excellent host; she couldn't have done more to make me feel welcome and at home in Utrecht. Plenty of space, with my own Kitchen and Garden - ideal for more than one guest. Neighbourhood was very quiet and I was never disturbed. Located near the centre of Utrecht (maybe 10-15 minutes walk) and maybe 5 minutes from the nearest shop, everything is well within walking distance, although people prefer to use bikes everywhere! Also a very short distance to the nearest bus stop, so travel is simple no matter what. Couldn't recommend more!
It was really very nice to stay in your home, quiet, cosy, spaceful and filled with incitements to discover the world. The kitchen is well equipped and we were lacking nothing, although we diidn't use it much, staying only 2 nights. We were perfectly welcomed and instructed. The place is good located, 20 minutes walking to the city center or 5 minutes by bus. Unfortunately we had little time to get better acquainted, being very busy and Mira absent the evenings and the last day! Thanks for your confidence and discretion! Hoping to meet you again in your city, in our mountains or anywhere else around our planet ! With our best regards ! Jean-Luc and Françoise.
I stayed with a friend at Mira’s house and we had a great time. The place was great, clean and tidy, and had everything we needed. The house is close to the city center or to anything else that you might need (supermarket etc.)
For me the best part was Mira herself, who was kind and patient with us, she respected our personal space but made sure we had everything we needed. Overall it was wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Utrecht.
Mira is a great host. She gave me regular updates and checked in on me to make sure everything was fine. She has a nice space in a good, quaint neighborhood of Utrecht. It was a lovely stay.
:) Danke Mira!
My wife and our two sons stayed at Mira's. We had cycled a long way to Utrecht. We arrived as the sun was setting, exhausted and a little lost. Mira was very kind about it. She found out where we were and cycled to meet us in town and then guided us to her house.
It was reassuring to find that Mira has a rear yard where we stored our bikes securely.
Mira's place was ideally located for our stay. It is not in what I would call central Utrecht, but it is near the main canal that runs through Utrect. It is a short walk to the canal and then a few minutes more walk to the heart of town.
Mira has creatively adapted her home for guests. The house is narrow, like a lot of Dutch homes. Mira has decorated it to reflect some of her own travels. It isn't luxurious, but it is clean, neat, and comfortable. We had a double bed and two singles (one single bed pulls out from underneath the other). The beds were comfortable and the duvets kept us warm during soom unuaually cool nights. Her kitchen is sufficiently equipped for guests to make their own meals.
The toilet is just outside the guest room. The shower is upstairs. In the the bathroom, Mira has labeled which cabinet doors are for guests. After a long day's cycling, we each enjoyed a hot shower, and there was plenty of hot water. Mira provided towels, soap and shampoo. After that, Mira walked with us a few minutes to a nearby street with take away restaurants and an Albert Hijn supermarket to get some nourishment.
Next day, it was a very pleasant walk from Mira's to the canal and into the heart of Utrecht, past a famous ice cream shop and past the lock that controls the height of the water in the main canal. After a very full day touring in Utrecht, we were grateful to return to the quiet of Mira's neighborhood.
Mira provided information in advance to help us know how to best enjoy her home, and she was very helpful answering our questions when we arrived. She also was a delight to talk with. She was a perfect Airbnb host and I recommend her home for other travelers looking for a quiet place to stay.
