Communication with Dee was excellent, even to the point that Dee texted me on the day to remind me to pack towels (I hadn't).
The house is 5 minutes from the beach and St Leonards Main St with the lovely cafes, pubs and shops. And 3 min from the train station!
The house looked a bit tired compared to the pictures so I was a bit disappointed when I first arrived but we soon grew to love the quirky house and the 7 of us loved the place. There is a particular sofa in the sitting room that we were very reluctant to get up from.
We all had an amazing time in Hastings and if we go back with a group of friends we will definitely be back at Dee's.
A very welcoming host who made our arrival and departure very easy. The house is in a great location, handy for the beach and cafés. The house is comfortable and practical.
Dee was a fantastic host - friendly, helpful and communicative. The house is in a great location, very close to the seafront, nice pubs and walking distance from the old town. It came fully supplied with everything we needed and was cosy and warm. Plus there are some lovely design details - vintage furniture, free standing baths.
4 of us had an enjoyable weekend in this quirky house. Dee was very flexible with check out time which helped us to relax. You need to bring your own towels and there is not a standing shower just an 'in bath' one. This was fine for us but worth knowing about if you are heading with a large group for a longer period. To make up for it though there are sinks in every bedroom. There are lots of clear instructions of how to do everything and so no confusions etc. however the house could have been cleaner. Finally Very important for us was the fact that the kitchen was very well equipped - making it great for communal cooking. Thanks Dee!
9 of us stayed in this rambling Victorian property and had a really great weekend.
The house is pretty quirky and rustic but this suited us perfectly.
Great location just 2 minutes walk from the station and we walked 25 minutes along the beachfront to Old Hastings which was lovely.
The host was very gracious and met us to let us into the house. There is plenty of space in the house and it is very close to some beautiful sights and attractions in Hastings. Highly recommended.
