About this listing
Comfortable and spacious two-bedroom townhome in a small friendly complex, close to Intel, Hillsboro airport, light rail, shopping, library, and Dawson Creek park. The back windows and deck face a peaceful wetland, providing a very private feel.
This three-story townhouse has a spacious kitchen / breakfast area, living / dining room (with gas fireplace), and half-bath on the second floor (up one flight of stairs from the front door). The two bedrooms are on the third floor. The master (King bed) bedroom has a shower, the other bathroom, accessible to both bedrooms, has a combination shower/bathtub. The washer & dryer are also on the third floor. Both bedrooms have A/C. There is no A/C on the main floor, but window fans are available.
Guest access is through the front door. Please park in the garage if possible (clicker available) there's also room to park one car in the driveway, or park in any of the spaces in the complex parking. There are no reserved spaces, all parking spaces are available for residents and guests.
Interaction with guests
Depending on the day of the week, the owners will be available either immediately (within a few minutes) or at most in a couple of hours. Plan to meet us on your first day to get the key and get shown around.
Dawson Station is a small townhome development in a wooded area that backs up to a peaceful treed wetland, but with shopping and businesses close by. It's close to several Intel campuses including Jones Farm, Hawthorn Farm, Ronler Acres, Evergreen, and Amber Glen. It's right next to Hillsboro Airport, a general aviation airport that hosts flight training, private aviation, and the Intel air shuttle. There's plenty of shopping nearby (within a 1 mile radius). Dawson Creek Park, with miles of walking paths, is adjacent to the town home.
The Hawthorn Farm MAX light rail station is a relatively easy 1 mile walk from the townhouse. The condominium is almost next door to the Hillsboro Airport; super convenient for people coming in on the Intel shuttle, or using private or charter aircraft, or engaging in flight training at Hillsboro Aviation Academy (note: there is no scheduled air service at Hillsboro -- the closest would be PDX, 40 mins away in good traffic, or about an hour and a half by MAX light rail.)
Other things to note
The minimum rental period is 30 days. Guests will be asked to sign a lease stating that they'll abide by the association rules which can be provided before you confirm your reservation.
The townhome is three stories. Only the garage is on the bottom floor, the main living space on the second floor, and the bedrooms on the top (third) floor. You may want to take that into consideration if you have difficulty climbing stairs.
No smoking/vaping, no weapons, no drugs, no pets. Please refrain from using strong perfumes, colognes, hair-gels, air fresheners, etc. If you do any cleaning, only use the "natural" cleaning products that are in the unit. The units have good sound-proofing, nevertheless be courteous to nearby residents by avoiding excessive noise, and keep the TV down between 10pm and 8am. Watch for children when driving in, and stay at or below the posted 15MPH speed limit.
We split our time between the townhouse and our house on the coast, and commute between the two, often using our small airplane to do so. We love watching the wildlife out the back window and walking in the park near the townhome, and frequently visit the superb county library which is located right in the park, an easy walk from the place. If we're there when guests are renting, we'll be using the separate room off the garage (below the rest of the living space). We may knock on the door to make sure things are going okay for you but will otherwise make ourselves invisible unless needed.
