Welcome to Nashville!

The Space

This beautiful historic home has a master bedroom with attached bath and a second bedroom with a private bath - both upstairs and available for the exclusive use of my guests. Your privacy is assured as I book only one party at a time.
The location is excellent -- only 1.5 miles from downtown - providing easy access to Edgehill Village, Hillsboro Village, the Gulch, SoBro, Berry Hill, East Nashville, Music Row, 12South, and Belmont and Vanderbilt Universities. Two bedrooms accommodate up to four people with a master bedroom and second guest bedroom both with private bathrooms. Spacious, clean and up-to-date - come experience Nashville from the historic Woodland-in-Waverly neighborhood.
Both rooms are equipped with queen bed, towel warmer, overhead fans and blackout drapes. There is wireless internet and free access to the kitchen and front lounge. There is a spacious front porch and back deck for relaxing. Walk a few hundred yards to 8th and Roast coffee shop, the Urban Juicer, and enjoy the plenty of restaurants nearby. All bed and bath linens are washed with detergents free of perfumes or dyes, and no dryer sheets are used.
Numerous live music venues are in the immediate vicinity - Douglas Corner, The Mercy Lounge, The Basement, Cannery Ballroom, The Tap Room and 3rd & Lindsley. 8th Ave is also the antiques district - so browse or shop for unique items in the many antique shops in this area. A tour of the nearby civil war site, Fort Negley, offers wonderful views of the city.
I am a certified yoga instructor and have been teaching for nearly 15 years (and practicing for decades). If you would like to have private instruction while you are here, please mention your interest in advance.

Guest Access

The entire upstairs is dedicated space for guests. In addition to the two bedrooms, there is an additional sitting room with sofa, office table and chairs. Downstairs access to kitchen, living and dining rooms and front porch.

  • Nancy's home is absolutely lovely.

I had a wonderful stay with her - I slept well, I enjoyed the awesome bathtub (and epsom salts!), and Nancy was an excellent and kind companion during my stay.

Her two dogs are sweet - and extremely well behaved.

Nancy's home felt like it was an easy 10 minute drive to everything. It was a great place to stay and explore Nashville. Parking on her street was very easy.

I would definitely love to stay with Nancy again in the future, and I recommend her home!

  • What a wonderful place to stay! ...plus: Nancy is a wonderful person! I'm glad we could have had a few nice conversations.
If you wanna come to Nashville, this should be your place to stay. You are downtown within minutes if you take the bus. Everything is as nice as shown on the pictures. :-)
    I would stay here again.

  • Nancy's house was so comfortable and we loved how private our space was. We also loved the front porch and we sat on the porch swing most evenings. Nancy was very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely recommend her house!

  • Our stay with Nancy was 5 star. Large, impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, comfortable rooms in a beautiful home were just the beginning. The best part of our stay was Nancy herself. She’s a friendly, hospitable, energetic, vibrant and beautiful person. We were sad to leave our new friend.

  • We had the best experience at Nancy's lovely home! Her house is very charming and we felt exceptionally welcome. Everything from recommendations on where to visit, coffee shops, things to do, and a shelf in the fridge was provided to us.

The location is extremely convenient to downtown, but yet in a quiet area for plenty of rest and relaxtion. I highly recommend staying at this home.

  • Nancy's home is beautiful. We rented both bedrooms and both are spacious with comfortable beds and adjustable AC. Both bathrooms have been renovated and are large and equiped with everything you need, including a blow dryer and heated towel racks! The larger bedroom pictured here has a shower that could fit 12 men, and a jacuzzi bathtub.

We took a cab from the airport [$30] and took the buses to get around. You can walk one block to a fantastic coffee shop [8th and Roast], and catch the bus into town [about 1 mile]. Also closeby are a comedy place and 2 bars with live music.

Staying with Nancy is like visiting a friend or family member. She provided us with lots of good advice, especially on restaurants and music venues. Be sure to walk [20 mins] to the 12 South neighborhood and eat at Josephine's.

  • This was our first airbnb experience, and it could not have been better! Nancy is a wonderful and warm hostess. The house is lovely; it is comfortable, relaxing, clean, well-decorated, and in a very nice neighborhood. We were welcomed into the kitchen to make our daily coffee and tea and store our snacks; we felt equally comfortable using the living room and porch. The entrance is convenient and private; the beds are very comfortable and the master bath is incredible. We walked into town on several occasions during the day, and cabs were only about $12 (including tip) for 3 of us to return to the house at night. The bus stop is less than 2 blocks away from the house. We also had a lovely walk to Vanderbilt and Music Row. Nashville is a really fun city, and Nancy had great suggestions for walking routes and restaurants. This was a fantastic experience -- thanks, Nancy!

  • Nancy's home was so beautiful and comfortable. I stayed with a good friend who was attending the same art workshop and we felt "at home." Nancy was helpful and very gracious. Entrance to the home and access to everything we needed was available and easy. I would highly recommend this host and this home to anyone needing a great place to stay in Nashville.

About
This is a wonderful city and I enjoy having visitors share my home. I'm an avid dog walker and yogini -- I owned a yoga studio in Berry Hill for ten years which was sold recently. I finished a Master's Degree in 2013 at Lipscomb University and I currently teach yoga part-time at the Vanderbilt Orthopedic Center and The Yoga Room. My home is comfortable, clean, peaceful and I guarantee you will enjoy your stay here.
