Senjuen's apartment is well situated. It's really easy to get to Manhattan and the neighbourhood is nice. Senjuen was a helpful and polite host and we always got help when needed. The block and the apartment are from the 30s with charming and funny old details. We can recommend Senjuen's apartment.
Senjuen is a great host. He greeted me upon arrival, helped with the luggage, was available immediately anytime we needed him. Super punctual. Very friendly and helpful. The apartment is very nice, with character, steps to subway. Quiet. And I loved the old-fashioned gas range! (great for cooking and also makes the kitchen pleasantly warm on a cold day). Overall I had a great stay. Highly recommend to everyone.
We are delighted with our stay at the flat. It is very close to a subway station and only 10-15 min train ride to City centre. For us it was a perfect location. Very good supermarket and laundry service just around the corner. The flat has good beds and well equipped. Would have wanted to see a bit more of kitchen tools though. Senjuen was so nice and helpful in every way. Will stay there again for sure...
I'm glad you enjoyed your time at our place. I'm sorry that we didn't have more kitchen utensils or cookware in the apartment. If I had known you would have preferred more, I could have easily brought some more out of my storage area to use. Thanks again for the feedback and hope to hear from you again!
The place was an excellent choice for our five-day stay in NY. Although not in downtown you can get there very quickly with the subway - great connection. There are also a lot of restaurants and stores right next door for grocery shopping, dining or breakfast. The apartment is spacious and is therefore great for a longer stay. The place is a bit old (which we found very charming!) and could have been a cleaned a bit better. Senjuen was a great host, very friendly and accommodating, including our late check in. We would definitely come again for another trip to NY.
Senjuen was an excellent host and made our stay very comfortable. He recommended different restaurants in the area and provided us with good information about the city. On the day we were leaving he also stored our luggage for a few hours which was truly appreciated! The apartment was nice, but a little bit on the dirty side, but I would still recommend the place to others.
We had a great time in this apartment. Its nothing flash but its a very good size for New York, plenty of space, well equipped and really easy reach to the line 7 subway station (46 - Bliss Street). The neighborhood is well provided for with restaurants, bars, shops etc but is a quiet place and it only takes about 15 minutes on the subway to Grand Central station. Senjuen was really knowledgeable about the local area and where to eat etc and very welcoming. The only things I would change are taking off the plastic mattress cover on the double bed as it was a bit annoying and the sofa / futon wasn't very comfy to sit on and relax on. Another comfy sofa would go down well as there is plenty of space for one in the large lounge. It was clean and tidy but not spotless but its a period property with some some nice original features. Senjuen was great to deal with and very reliable.
The host was nice and very hospitable. The appartment and the building are quiet, and the area is safe, even though I did not stayed late outside, 9 p.m. was the latest I went out. If you are looking for a quiet place, easily reachable by subway, it is a good spot. There are many shops and restaurants around.
A fantastic location with a real local feel. Great restaurants and amenities and so close to town just take the number 7!! Senjuen was a fantastic host and very helpful. Would go back there again!

Senjuen is a very friendly and helpful host. He was always available, answered very quick and gave a lot of helping information to us.
The apartment has a nice pre-war flair and the surrounding is quiet at night. It has even enough space for 3 guests.
You can get to the subway station in 4-5 minutes, line 7 goes directly to times square, which is a nice starting point.
Senjuen was an excellent host: prompt, flexible, helpful and quite cheerful.
The apartment itself was simple and sunny with very comfortable beds. The neighborhood seems quite safe with lots of convenient, local restaurants. Parking was no problem: we parked and re-parked a large SUV easily. It was completely loaded with gear for college for several days and it seemed completely safe on the street. The subway is only about 2 blocks away.
A very enjoyable stay!
