This is a proper REAL four bedroom loft with a HUGE common area with great couches, all the latest NYC magazines (New Yorker, NY Mag, Time Out, etc.). Our kitchen is a chef's dream with many herbs, spices, olive oil, Himalayan salt, etc.
PLEASE NOTE: Building is not a new construction. It has charm and style and is unique and beautiful, but it is not a new construction- so please keep this in mind. There is also some ambient noise which is common in New York City.
Comfort. We provide soaps and shampoo, clean towels, high thread count sheets and an amazingly comfortable large queen size bed perfect for sleeping soundly after a day of exploring New York!
When you arrive, there is no need to climb four flights of stairs, which is common in Air B&B New York, as the apartment is conveniently situated on the main floor. Oh and there is beer in the fridge- help yourself!
Special benefits include an epic rooftop space with complete 360 views including Manhattan skyline, perfect for a sunset, or a sunrise. We also have an in-house projector for film watching cinema style, and the fastest wireless internet possible in NY making working from the loft a breeze.
Half a Block to JMZ Subway stop, 5 minutes to Lower East Side and Soho or 20 minutes to Times Square, and walking distance to all that Williamsburg has to offer. There are great restaurants, bars, cafes and shopping! Trendy bars on the same block! Excellent restaurant Moto 1 block away. Safe neighborhood- friendly bodegas on the corner!
A little bit about Williamsburg:
In the last ten years, Williamsburg has evolved from a mostly industrial warehouse neighborhood into an enclave of vintage boutiques, foodie eats, electronic music venues and Michelin restaurants.
There is laundry located in the building!
This is the real deal Brooklyn loft living situation. 21 foot ceilings. Floor to ceiling windows. Very Spacious and uber cool. You will be hard pressed to find a loft with this high of ceilings and this much common space.
Access to the entire loft. 4 bedrooms. The giant common area. Plus we have 24 hour rooftop access (shared with building) with 360 views of Manhattan skyline and Brooklyn. Perfect for a sunset champagne cocktail.
My loft is all yours! You'll have total privacy but I also love sharing my insider knowledge to New York! Just ask! :)
Williamsburg is the world's most hip and trendy neighborhood. Brooklyn has become the global word describing bespoke and handcrafted quality. Welcome.
Literally half a block to the subway! 2 stops to Lower East Side and Soho, 20 minutes to Times Square and Central Park. Easy walking to all the hip and trendy dining, nightlife and shopping Williamsburg has to offer!
The entire loft is yours! A great common area and a really beautiful dining table that can seat 12.
Also, there is a shared rooftop with a 360 degree view and a nice shot of the Manhattan skyline.
Interaction with Guests
I try to arrange a greeter to meet you, but after that its all yours!
This is the real Williamsburg experience. A short walk to anywhere within the Williamsburg area, but this neighborhood has a style that hasn't yet given way to corporate chains and uniform condo buildings.
Also, its steps from the JMZ subway, taking you to Soho, LES, or Midtown in a jiffy!
Yes, the JMZ train is half a block away. Also, the G train and the L train are just a few blocks away.
Other Things to Note
This loft is a converted textile factory. If you come in expecting a little bohemian oasis in an old factory building, you will absolutely love what you have found! Its a hidden treasure.
This loft is a passion project and I have spent years building it up and bringing in one of a kind furniture. I hope my guests will arrive with a smile and treat the loft with respect and appreciation.
Please I kindly request No Parties- please think of this loft as your oasis while exploring all Brooklyn and New York have to offer.
Cannot recommend this guy and his apartment enough. The loft is huge, clean and in a great location. Central Williamsburg is just around the corner and Manhattan was a walk across the bridge. Richard goes out of his way to help and nothing is too much.
The reservation was canceled 175 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This place was great! We had a few guys in town for a bachelor party and the space was perfect. Richard made the checkin and checkout process a breeze and the location was ideal for subway travel to and from Manhattan.
Walking distance to a few bars and local neighborhood spots, as well as Peter Luger (New York's number one steakhouse).
a full kitchen and dining room gave us ample space to hang out during the day and play cards and listen to music. The neighbors were a bit uptight after dark but that is just representative of the Brooklyn vibe.
Overall we loved the place, had plenty of room for a party of five and enjoyed having this place as home base for our NYC visit.
Thanks again Richard for being so helpful!
I am so grateful that my first experience with Airbnb was with Richard as my host. Not only did he go out of his way to talk me through the booking process as it was my first time using Airbnb but he made himself available by phone, providing an open line of communication to me prior, during, and after my stay to ensure all my questions were answered and that I was feeling comfortable and at home in his loft. He is a really cool guy and an exceptional host. I am only sorry that I did not get the opportunity to meet him! Richard was traveling during my stay but only a message away.
The loft itself was perfect for a weekend getaway in Brooklyn with friends. Richard's eclectic style is evident throughout the space, transforming the large industrial loft into a cozy, bohemian, nook. Everything was clean and tidy and Richard provided clean towels and sheets for my guests and I, so when we arrived we were able to relax and settle right in.
I found parking directly outside the loft and with Richard's visual instructions through picture messages finding the keys and getting inside the loft was easy even with all our bags in the dark. Richard also provided a few sets of keys to accommodate everyone getting in and out! Perfect for when we went out to go dancing and to explore the neighborhood the next day.
There was more than enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably and hang out with the open kitchen and large common area lined with comfy couches in addition to all the bedrooms. I have wonderful memories from my weekend spent in Brooklyn with close friends. It felt like home and when it was time to check out we were sad to leave.
The space was exactly what I was looking for and more . Thank you Richard for a lovely weekend :)
Everything went smoothly. The host was very responsive to queries and went out of his way to make sure we were all sorted out upon arrival. The loft was easy to access and looked as described.
The space was perfect. Roomy, comfortable, exactly what we were looking for. The subways are really close by, and Brooklyn life was only a short walk away.
I'd be more than happy to stay again there next time I visit. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a laid back, authentic, Brooklyn stay.
Richard made us feel most welcome with speedy responses via telephone and the wonderful character he has given the apartment. The description for this apartment is accurate, yet I still was in awe of the apartments beauty throughout our stay.
Staying at this loft was absolutely unreal! A SUPER authentic williamsburg loft - rough around the edges, but absolutely contributes to the look and feel of the place. My favorite seat was the vintage barber chair in the living room :)
Lets start with the loft - A huge space: massive living room with comfy vintage furniture. Big dining table and kitchen, alongside 4 spacious bedrooms - all with great furniture inside.
Location: We wanted to experience williamsburg and the location let us do just that. Cheap cab ride to a ton of fun places, and even more within walking distance. Pies n' Thighs for brunch - totally walkable. Also a quick subway ride into the city (i think 2-3 stops on the J,M trains).
Richard was a fantastic host. He graciously accommodated me in many ways - an early 6am flight into the city being one of them. He's super responsive all all my messages and even provided amazing recommendations around the area - not to mention a fridge w/ a welcome 6-pack of beer. Undoubtedly recommend this place for your next visit into the city - you won't regret it!

I run a boutique film festival that is active in London, New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal and Lima.
I'm originally from Seattle but have been in New York for 4 years. I travel a lot and have found cities to be much more fun if you are able to connect to the lifestyle of local people with similar interests.
I'd like to recommend good restaurants, fun and hard to find parties and events and nice places to check out that may be off the radar.
