Excellent place with a great location. Fernando, Filipe and Filipa are great hosts, and Fernando did a good job giving us all the details we needed. The apartment is at a great location, and is very charming. Cafes, bars, restaurants, markets and a metro are all nearby. A great s…
We were unlucky to be in Lisbon in one of the coldest months- February- even though the little heaters were provided, it was bearable only when carrying them around from room to room. Clean but Shower cabin needs updating as soon as possible- rusty with peeling paint. Shower its…
Response from Fernando:
Some people have education, respect and take care of other host houses, others don't! The problem is that guests think that paying 17,11€/ night and per person they should have more then the basics and can use the house treating it without care. That is why we have painted the tiles of the bathroom 4 times since september 2017 and as our guests are paying a low cost flat clean and confortable, they think that they don't need to care about so, they treat the house without care, leaving the walls dirty, spoil the bathroom paint, and even worst, they demand for sugar, salt, pepper and matches! When we go abroad and do not want to pay more then 17€ - 25€ per night and per person its a question of respect and be fair that we don't even bother the host begging this items. When we reserve a low cost flat when we arrive in other countries, first thing we do is to see what the house have and then go immediatly to the supermarket! If I don't want to do this, I will chose a hotel or a flat more expensive then this. Our supermarket here in our area is 150 meters away from the doors flat and guests are asking for salt, pepper and matches?? We would never had that actitude and bother a host asking for this! Matches costs 0,59€, salt 1,00€ and pepper 0,70€. It is not a question of money having or not this items, but if it is missing, for these prices we shoulkd never waste money calling or sending a message to beg for matches! Anyway, people have to read the entire informatioin at the listing, which they don't! It is written that the flat is a old house but clean and bright, confortable if you look up other comments (matress, heaters devices, etc), and have the basics demand by the agency - shower gel, toilet paper for courtesy, sheets and towels, hairdryer and kitchen utensils. It is writtten! For this price of 17,11€ per night is more then sufficient for a flat just in the heart of Lisboa! Wine glasses? No comments! And this is the problem that we have! As guests pay low prices, we have sometimes not educated guests that do not take care of the house, even when we are all the time painting the walls because in the past we had some of them that even put the shoes against the white walls and you can imagine what happens! So the house is treated with care, some guests don't! Others that we had, and thanks god, most of them, even paying a low cost fare, they are nice and take care of the house leaving it immaculate and almost not needing a special clean! Unfortunnatly this time was not those times. When we go abroad and rent a house of someone else, even when we pay a clean fee it is a question of education and respect to leave the house clean and organized. We do all the time this. We took half an hour before check out to clean the house and sometimes, when needed, we clean the dishes, put it at their own places, clean the floor, take the garbage bag wioth us to the street and organized clothes in a certain place considering that someone, who cames to clean can clean it easily. And of course, first of all, it is a question of education and respect, paying 17€ per night or 200€ per night, it doesn't matter, would be the same. So,some people have respect and education and some others, don't!
