Are you ready for an adventure? This is a uniques sleeping experience. 5 meters up a steep later to a woven basket with a cozy bed tucked inside with a view in every direction. this is not an experience you will soon forget.

The space
Bird’s Nest #3 (Third-Floor Nest)

These are woven, basket-style sleeping pods — think Japanese-style sleeping pods blended with Bali jungle craft. There are four nests in total, stacked like bunk beds in a shared, open-air setting. Each guest is provided with a locker to securely store belongings.

We are a unique place and not for everyone. Please do not book if any of the following would bother you, as we do not offer refunds for these conditions:
1. This is a third-floor nest and is not private at all. Please consider this a dormitory-style sleeping space.
2. Access is via a bamboo ladder (not stairs). This ladder is steep and exposed. It may feel challenging or unsafe if you are uncomfortable with climbing, not physically fit, afraid of heights, or have any condition that limits mobility. If this sounds like you, this nest is not suitable.
Yes — it’s scary. That’s part of the experience. :)
3. The bathroom is shared with other guests.
4. This is open-air, camping-style sleeping. You are sleeping outdoors, and in the tropics it can be warm.
5. We are a cat-friendly hotel. Our cats roam freely and may choose to join you for a cuddle.
6. Access to the property is via a rustic footpath through the rice fields, approximately a 15-minute walk.
7. We are relaxed, simple, and unfussy, rather than polished or luxury-focused — does that sound like you?
8. We are located in a lush, jungle-like area of Bali. You may encounter insects, lizards, mosquitoes, snakes, or other wildlife. This is normal here, and embracing nature is part of the experience.
9. Tropical life is hot. There is no air-conditioning. We find it breezy and comfortable, but we also live here 🙂

If this sounds like your kind of stay, we think you’ll feel very comfortable here.
If not, we completely understand and encourage you to choose accommodation that better matches your expectations.

Guest access
You are welcome to use the dining area our shared open lounging space and we have a full staff that will greet you when you arrive and be there to assist you in anyway you like.

Other things to note
If you are afraid of heights or don't like the outdoors with the occasional wild visitor this is not for you.

Please know that this is not your average hotel. This is a unique experience that may not be for everyone. We have created a space that is at one with the outdoors. Our bathrooms are all open air and the living dining room is as well. Additionally, you must hike in to reach us.

We offer a full-service experience with all the amenities and all the adventure. We invite you to enjoy the unique experience of sleeping open in nature while you are here. This includes as some reviewers have noted hiking in on a traditional Balinese footpath in the rice fields. We always have someone to greet you at the road carry your luggage and escort you in regardless of when you arrive.

We are located in the rice-fields and because of this, you should expect to see lizards and dragonflies and other such bits of nature. This is part of the experience of staying here and we hope you enjoy it. Because of the proximity to rice fields we have a very important member of our staff that ensures the villa is mice free. She is a cat. She works for her food and does a fantastic job. You would not be happy with the critters that were there without her great assistance (although occasionally she misses one). She is sweet and friendly and will say hi. This said if you don't like cats or are not ready for all that nature entails, this is probably not the place for you.

Also, please do not drink alcohol and stay here, we don't want you climbing this ladder drunk at night. not a wise choice. if you are sober and safe it's just a normal climb but it does require you to be careful. we will not be responsible if you fall off so book at your own risk.
So one last warning from us. Do us a favor and don't book this everything we have described is your cup of tea. If you saw us on Netflix and desperately want the photo to post but have never camped a day in your life please consider booking one of our private rooms on the ground floor instead. They are different but also great. Or try our private treehouse for some middle ground. It is still glamping but has a private bathroom and seating area. Don't worry no shame in wanting aircon and we are still happy to let you take a photo and you can pretend to your friends that you were brave :). Know yourself and who you are, we are happy to accommodate all tastes but be aware a private room may be a better fit for you. We will not refund you if you figure this out after you arrive :)

We do not accept any date changes within 30 days of arrival. Any change request made less than one month in advance — regardless of the reason (including divorce, illness, death in the family, flight changes, or other personal circumstances) — will require a new booking.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance, as any eligible reimbursement must be claimed directly through your insurance provider.
