Laura responded immediately as soon as I checked in with her when we arrived. We met Laura & Joe at the property the second day. They have left many suggestions at the property for sightseeing and eating in Seattle and West Seattle. The listing was perfect for us with everything we had expected. The new queen bed in the second bedroom will be a great upgrade. The property was well maintained inside and the neighborhood felt very safe for walking and on-street parking. We even walked at night and felt completely safe. If I were to live in Seattle, I would want to live in West Seattle. Very easy to get around and very easy to get in to the city various ways. we used the public transportation in addition to our car, and it was great!
The Moonlight Guest house was a fantastic place for us to stay! We lived here for a month while relocating to Seattle, and couldn't have asked for a quieter, cozier, and more welcoming place to begin our life here. It's within walking distance to a bunch of great places to eat and shop, and the fenced yard was perfect for our small dog.
Incredible house! Warm, cozy, CLEAN, spacious, perfect location, quiet, quaint, idyllic, need I go on? We really enjoyed our stay and they had all the instructions laid out for us and it was a smooth transition in and out. If I keep on with my effusive review I am afraid the place will be indefinitely booked and I'll never get to stay there again!
The cottage is cozy, clean and a great place to unite with family and friends. A short ride from the cottage is the water taxi to take you over to Seattle which is fun and convienent. There is a nice sized dining room and table with plenty of chairs to gather everyone for dinners and the kitchen was equipped well for meal preperation. Laura and Joe make their cottage warm and comfy for guests and we loved the place!
Wonderful hosts! We loved the house and the easy access to downtown. Tip: catch the 54 or 55 bus from Avalon, two blocks away, and you are downtown near Pike Place Market in 10 minutes.
We'd be happy to come back!
The Moonlight House was clean, comfortable, and a real value for a medium sized group. Pluses were a modern kitchen; strong password protected wifi; a large dining table for sharing pizza or spreading out maps; and a park,
golf course, stadium track, convenience store and pub all within walking distance. The only drawback was that it was so cozy we sometimes had to push ourselves to get out and play tourist!

Laura & Joe Ross - Having both owned houses before we married in February of 2009, we decided to try the vacation rental business rather than sell either. Our first guests were Laura's family, in town for the wedding. Since then, with Joe's work as a musician and dancer, Laura's work as an engineering geologist, and our joint project of raising two boys, we are plenty busy! However, we take pride in putting our visitors first and have really enjoyed meeting our guests and sharing the city we love with them.
