About this listing

This beautiful, casual, historic house, set in a residential neighborhood, is the oldest and best example of the Craftsman style of architecture found in the village of Seaside on the Monterey Peninsula. Built in 1910 by the Phelps family and located on a half-acre property, surrounded by organic gardens with private, gated parking, this property has views of Monterey Bay. Seaside is considered to be the sunniest place on the Bay.

If you are looking for a great place to stay in the Seaside/Monterey Bay Area, I simply have to recommend the Historic Landmark House. Great hosts made my very first AirBnB stay very memorable. The home has so much character and the location is very centrally located. Joining for breakfast in the morning was a highlight as I had a chance to get to know Anne Marie and Jocelyn better.l and enjoy a very healthy breakfast. They are such nice people and when I return to the area, that is where I will stay. Thank you ladies for making me feel so welcome and for making my stay memorable!
The house had a great pleasent leisurely feel to it. The hosts were very friendly and made me feel at home.
They were absolutely wonderful hosts, making sure I had everything necessary to make my trip a successful one. I had a very full docket for my weekend in Monterey so I didn't get to spend as much time at the home as some might, but I have nothing but good things to say about how welcome I felt every time I returned to the house. I highly recommend that any visitors to the area stay with Annemarie Jesse and Jocelyne.
The neighborhood was nice. Jesse has a beautiful property. It is as described with shared bathroom. It is very clean and well maintained. I spent minimal time with them as I can later in the night, but they were very accommodating. Breakfast was wonderful. Jesse has great ideas for things to do and I ended up following all of his recs and had an awesome day. Thanks again!!
Absolutely fantastic hosts. I felt welcome before I even got there. The home and accommodations are beautiful, clean, and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. Bed was super comfortable. Safe and easy parking. I'm coming back! Wonderful people...a real treat to stay here. Very helpful with things to do as well.
The room and house was just as described and were beautifully finished. The hosts made me feel very welcome and offered a delicious breakfast with many gluten free options which is rare to come by. Would recommend.
