The Monterey Peninsula is one of the most beautiful spots in the USA. It is definitely a destination, not just a stop over! We operate as a traditional style Bed & Breakfast. Come, stay with us and enjoy all Monterey has to offer!
This beautiful, casual, historic house is the oldest and best example of the Craftsman style of architecture found in the village of Seaside on the Monterey Peninsula. Built in 1910 by the Phelps family and located on a half-acre property, surrounded by organic gardens with private, gated parking, this property has views of Monterey Bay. Seaside is considered to be the sunniest place on the Bay.

Not sure I am going to recommend you ... Maybe keep you as a extraordinary secret (: & insiders' tip!
I had a fantastic time in Seaside. The house is really lovely and homey, and made a great base for exploring Monterey and Big Sur. Annemarie, Jesse, and Jocelyne were great hosts. They joined me and the other guests for breakfast every morning, and provided great ideas for hikes and restaurants. I'd absolutely recommend staying here, and staying an extra day or two if you can!
It was a lovely house, easy to find and enter, and a special experience. I especially appreciated a lovely breakfast. Thank you so much & I'm sure I'll be back soon/often.
I had a wonderful experience in this big red house : as soon as you enter, the whole family welcomes you as a member. I had the chance to chat with all of them.
And in the morning all the guests and hosts gathered in the living room for breakfast.
An ultimate experience of Californian hospitality, these guys are great.
(Et pour les voyageurs français, c'est très agréable de parler avec Jocelyne)
You cannot imagine a better place to stay and I recommend it with a special mention.
I only spend one night but it was a really pleasant time. The house is nice, the food for breakfast is great. I has the chance to talk with jocelyne and jesse and it was very pleasant. I recommend the place.
Annemarie, Jesse and Jocelyne were great hosts. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The room itself is small but very comfortable and nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed.
There is lots to do in the area and i wish i could have spent more time there. I particularly liked to share breakfast with other guests and to share stories about what brought us there.
Overall a very welcome stay on my travels and i wholeheartedly recommend Historic Landmark House to other guests.
Happy New Year Annemarie, Jesse and Jocelyne. I hope 2015 treats you all well !

Jocelyne, originally from France, came to the US in 1958 to raise her family on the Big Sur coast. She and her son Jesse are a great connection to recommend local activities . Annemarie, originally from Canada, married Jesse and is still exploring California herself,
We love to travel, meet new people, taste foods from around the world and explore.
