Great stay here for our family during our wedding in Manhattan. The only discouraging thing was the bar stools are in poor condition, the sofa bed was half falling apart (it appears it was rigged with metal wire underneath). Our guest sleeping on the sofa bed could not roll over to the left side or else the mattress fell thru :-(...but the location is great, the owner was wonderful to work with, and the size of the apartment is very accommodating.

Milik was very communicative and pleasant. Her place was very neat, cozy and equipped. We wished we could have booked a longer stay. Thanks for having us.

Miliks place is decent but not the greatest. the overall stay was okay. the description is false and the apartment does not include a hot tub and does not include an Ethernet cable. the hot tub was something that really swayed our opinion in staying at this specific apartment and when we found that there was not one in the room it was a bit of a bummer since we looked forward to it so much! there is a broken stool in the kitchen which tilts almost all the way down, extremely uncomfortable. the pots and pans that are left in the kitchen are pretty basic and get the job done but kind of difficult if you are trying to make a "gourmet" meal. there was also only one extra pillow. the pillows were pretty flat and uncomfortable if you just used one so when we had 5 people it was difficult for everyone to be comfortable. the location is pretty great, its right in the middle of Manhattan so you can pretty much walk to some pretty amazing places in less than an hour, time square is only about a half hour walk which was amazing to see in the night.

Milik's apartment's major advantage is its location, it is conveniently near the Flatiron district, about 5 minutes walk from the 6 train subway stop and about 7 minutes walk from the R and W trains subway stop. There are supermarkets, groceries stores, pharmacies and plenty of restaurants in the area. The apartment itself is located on the 6th floor of a building that is a bit old. The apartment is more worn than what the picture shows, but otherwise, looks the same as the pictures. The floor lamp in the living room had a burned lightbulb. 2 of the 3 remote controls for the TV were missing batteries and the last remote had batteries but didn't work. There was not enough toilet paper provided, we had to get our own. There was also no soap and shampoo provided. The master bedroom is big by New York City standard and the second bedroom was just big enough for a queen size bed. There is no dining table in the apartment and we had to eat around the kitchen island with some of us having to stand because there are not enough chairs for the 6 of us staying there. Also if you have food, make sure you store them either in the fridge or tightly sealed in the cupboards because you don't want a special visitor eating your food while you're out exploring the city or while you're sleeping. The morning after our first night, we found that some of our food (unopened bags of chips and some bananas) that was left on the kitchen counter has been eaten and there were mice droppings. When we texted Milik about the situation, she asked us to call her back, but it was her cleaning lady who answered. She put the blame on the previous guests and said that we are in New York and that it cannot be a 100% clean. She offered to have an exterminator come over the apartment while we were out the next day, but we declined because we didn't feel comfortable leaving our belongings in the apartment unattended while we were out. We never met Milik and all communications with her was done through text messages. We were checked-in by her cleaning lady and checked-out by another cleaning lady with the building maintenance worker looking around for holes in the walls where the mouse could have come from, but he couldn't find anything wrong. Overall our experience in Milik's apartment was a bit of a disappointment because of the rodent issue. It was basically just a place to sleep since we spent most of our time outside enjoying what the great City of New York has to offer.

Milik's place was well-located for our trip. We were there for a conference at Tibet House on 15th Street, so we were able to walk there easily. The building is nice and clean, with a secure entrance. The apartment renovation is nice, but not new, and showing a few signs of wear--nothing major, just an observation. The furniture is average thrift-shop quality, but clean and mostly adequate. the beds have low-grade mattresses, but are clean and comfortable enough. One of the counter stools with the chrome bases has something wrong with it that when you sit in it, it tilts forward too much (the matching one doesn't do this). Nevertheless, these are rather minor things, and it was a comfortable stay overall. We would likely stay here again.
