We typically rent rooms in the house on an individual basis but while we're out of town at the same time, the whole house is free! We'll still have someone to greet you, walk you through the house and check in if anything is needed.

There are three double bed rooms which can sleep 6, and a couch if you need to squeeze in a 7th! Each bedroom has a double bed, comfy bed linen, great pillows, storage and two have hardwood floors. Two also have the original fireplaces. All are really lovely!

It's a 10-15 minute walk to O'Connell Street (through the spectacular Blessington Basin), 10 minutes to the Phoenix Park and the river Liffey. It's close to a few dublinbike rental stations, the luas, lots of buses and taxis are easily found in the area.

There are two of us living here usually and we're happy to leave recommendations the better pubs, events, shops, galleries and venues. We're close to Stoneybatter, Smithfield, Glasnevin and the airport (about a €20 taxi ride away).

The room is a cozy double with two sets of drawers built into the bed, a closet and an original fireplace. Sheets and towels included. The bathroom has a deep bath/tub, power shower and a great skylight.

We're both seasoned travellers and have hosted for lots of family and friends, so we're sure you'll enjoy your stay in our place.

  • Great place in a calm area of Dublin (20 minutes walk away from the very center or 10 minutes by bus), the house is just as great as it looks on pictures.
Tom was there to welcome us when we arrived and took the time to recommend us places, restaurants and pub that we could never have found without his help.

  • Tom and Sarah offer a great place to stay in interesting close to the city part of Dublin. It's a cosy restored townhouse in which you are made to feel at home the moment you walk in the door. We arrived after midnight because we'd had to catch a late ferry from Holyhead but Tom waited up for us - so kind! Their place has a great kitchen with everything you need to cook, there's an excellent stereo system we could plug our iPod into, and a warm sunny living area. Many thanks, we really enjoyed our stay with you, Shonagh and Roger

  • Sarah & Tom were super friendly and accommodating.

Their place was really cool and in a pretty convenient spot (only a fifteen-or-so minute walk to the Liffey). And their kitchen was as cool as the images make it look.

Shortly after checking us in they left for a trip of their own so we didn't get to hang too much, though the time we did spend together was nice.

  • My husband Leejay and I had a blast staying at Tom & Sarah's place in Phibsboro. Their house was in a great location. Just a quick taxi ride into the City. They were great hosts. They were very responsive prior to arrival and were so easy to communicate with before we arrived in Ireland as well as while we were there. As soon as we walked into their home, we were greeted with a smiling face. Sarah gave us a mini tour around the house and a list of Dublin tips were emailed to me to guide us throughout our trip. She gave us taxi coupons and their place was equipped with wi-fi that worked perfectly. Although we come from The Bay Area of Northern California, we felt at home. The room it self wasnt huge, but was everything we needed. A cozy bed, a closet, and a shared bathroom. Our last night their we enjoyed Tom & Sarah's company, sharing laughs and sillyness! Staying with them will live on as one of the most memorable stays. They are awesome human beings. I'd recommend anyone to stay with them. Moreover, We are so happy to have made it to their top 3 guests!! :)

Thanks for everything Sarah & Tom!
See you in San Francisco! Haha

About
I used to rent a spare bedroom room to airbnb travellers with an old housemate, but have moved on and now just use this for travelling. European city breaks are my weakness.
