Gooch Cottage - A taste of Old Cape Cod
This early 1900's antique cottage, one of three, sits atop the heights and provides a wonderful view of the town cove and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. Most of our tenants have been coming for 20-40 years, so this is a unique opportunity to find a place you will want to come back to for years to come. Three bedrooms, 1 bath, fully furnished, full kitchen and a comfortable porch with a view you won't want to leave. Step back in time and relax.
Please bring your well-behaved pets. They are much better off with you than in a kennel.
You are 10 minutes from everything: beach, ponds, bike path, supermarket, fish store etc.
Cottage, porch and surrounding property are all non-smoking.
WEEKLY RENTALS ONLY - Rates depending on pre-season/prime time/post season. 50% deposit and lease required. Please do not consider your rental confirmed until we have communicated directly.
Please note: we do not provide any meals. These are housekeeping cottages with a full kitchen and many, many restaurants nearby.
All tenants bring their own sheets and towels. Well behaved pets are more than welcome.
These are all strictly non-smoking cottages inside and out.
If you are planning to bring your pets, please include that info in your initial inquiry. Thank you.

Smith Heights Cottages have been in my husband's family since the early 1900's. The management of the cottages just passed on to us in 2010. We love all things antique and these cottages allow us to mix our passion with our work.
When we are at the Cape, we enjoy doing the same things that our renters enjoy. We rise early and go for a walk on the beach with our Maltese dog, Lulu. Oftentimes we arrive at the beach in time to see the sunrise. There are but a few people on the beach at this time, save for a handful of surfers..... it's very quiet and peaceful.
We love touring all of the historic properties nearby and are members of the French Cable Museum in Orleans, Friends of the National Seashore, Nauset Light Preservation Society and the wonderful lighthouse and rescue center in Provincetown. We are never at a loss for things to do.
My absolute favorite thing to do though is to grab whatever book I'm into at the time (right now I'm reading a book written by an Airbnb tenant that I had earlier this year)and sit on the porch. It is the most peaceful thing there is and no matter what is troubling me it all seems to recede to the back of my mind. I put my feet up on the porch rail, sit in a high back rocker and pass many hours away taking an occasional break to watch a pretty sailboat, kayakers paddle by or a great blue heron fly awkwardly overhead. It truly is a piece of heaven. I breath deeper here.
