Cute, remodeled apartment 2 blocks from the F and J/Z lines on the vibrant Lower East Side. It's a few blocks from tons of great restaurants and bars, and convenient to attractions in midtown, downtown, and in Brooklyn.

The Space

Entire 1 BR apartment available: a remodeled second-floor space with exposed brick and hardwood floors in a prime Lower East Side location. You'll be just two blocks from the subway (F/M & J/Z), which makes it easy to get uptown and also to Brooklyn. All around are exciting restaurants, bars, and shopping. As an additional benefit, this is a straight shot on the J train from JFK airport.

The LES is known for nightlife, but this block doesn't have any bars on it. The area is a cute, village-like neighborhood during the day but becomes quite the hot spot on Friday and Saturday nights.

The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen you're welcome to use, and a grocery store is across the street. Both beds are full size. Linens and towels are included.

The apartment is on the second floor, so carrying suitcases up is not bad at all. There are several places to do laundry or get laundry done within a few blocks.

Interaction with Guests

Though, I'd love to meet you all, I'm usually out of town when I rent the apartment. :)

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood is a nightlife hub on weekends, but during the week it has a relaxed village feel. There are lots of great restaurants if you love food!
Please check out my guide on here for restaurant, bar, and cafe recommendations--or feel free to ask!

Getting around

Two subway lines (the F/M and J/Z) heading uptown or to appealing parts of Brooklyn are just two blocks away. You can also walk across the Williamsburg Bridge when it's pleasant out (50 m from the apartment door)

  • We spent 4 nights at Jenny's place. We didn't meet her but our contacts were friendly. The whole appartment was just for us.
We had a great time there, the place looks just like the pictures, it's really nice and fully equiped.
Subway is close, neigbourhood is fine!

We would recommand Jenny's place to our friends!

  • Never met Jenny, but our correspondence was cordial and the key exchange was simple. The room was as advertised. It's small and clean and the bed is comfortable. The location just a couple of blocks from the subway is great though the street noise can be a little loud at night. If you are a light sleeper, Jenny provides earplugs. No TV but the Wi-Fi worked well. Overall, the stay at Jenny's was very good. Recommend it, especially if you want an East Village location.

  • The neighborhood was wonderful, and it's about as good a place/location as possible for the price. Everything was in working order, and everything took place relatively smoothly.

  • I didn't meet Jenny in person, but she made the stay really easy and comfortable, and was lovely over text and email.

The location in LES is great.

    Would recommend for sure.

  • I had an amazing experience at Jenny's apartment. She made sure we were able to get the keys to the apartment even though we showed up much later than expected. The apartment itself is located in an amazing area with tons to do. We had the apartment to ourselves the entire time we were there! Thanks again Jenny!

  • Staying at Jenny's apartment was a very pleasant experience. I found the apartment super clean and neat, and felt incredibly comfortable in it, like at home! The apartment is is not big but not small either, it's all you need for New York City. The pictures don't lie, it is very cozy. You would be out on the streets anyway, walking through the lively, diverse neighborhood, a combination of the new gentrification and old family businesses. It's a real downtown New York experience. I loved it. Jenny was very communicative and made sure everything was running smoothly and it did.

  • Jenny's apartment is cosy and comfortable. We stayed there 9 days. Everything was like on the fotos, very clean. The kitchen was well equipped . The location of the apartment is really good, very close to the subway and Manhattan's buses. The zone is full of grocery shops, markets and many locals. We haven't meet Jenny but communication with her was very fast and friendly. We felt there like at home. I highly recommend her apartment.

  • The stay in Jenny's apartment was our first airbnb-experience. The location of the apartment was great - with the subway so close it is really easy to get around. There are nice bars and restaurants in the neighborhood which are located in walking-distance.
Jenny's room was quite cozy, although the space was very limited for the two of us and our luggage. Since the room faces the street, it can be quite noisy at night - but Jenny kindly has earplugs on offer. :) It also helps that the bed is really comfortable. Overall, the apartment is clean and Jenny's neighbors (at least the ones we met) were friendly and helpful. Jenny's flatmate Matt seems to be a nice guy - although we didn't talk much. He is home most of the time. This was a bit difficult in the mornings when we wanted to have breakfast and Matt was working from home in the kitchen. Because we didn't want to disturb him, we usually had breakfast in Jenny's room which was not that comfortable. He is a bit messy when it comes to cleaning his own dishes. But this was really the only minor drawback since we were gone most of the day anyway.
We never met Jenny in person, but she appears to be really nice and helpful. She responded as quickly as possible to our messages and questions and she had the apartment cleaned right before we arrived. Moreover, she had books of New York placed on her desk for us - next to the earplugs! ;) Overall, Jenny is a really caring and hospitable host! We would stay there again a second time.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Jenny's place! The location is perfect, very cool neighbourhood, very close to the subway (about a 2 minute walk from the front door), great room and a nice space overall. Jenny is lovely to deal with and Matt, her room-mate is a really cool guy, friendly and helpful. We were there for 10 days but wish we were there for longer. We would definitely stay here again!

  • I stayed here in mid-March 2014--it was my first Airbnb experience. The location is great, right near the F train and Williamsburg bridge. Apartment was small (for an NYC alien), reasonably clean and bed was comfortable. There was a cold snap over these days and I found the apartment and the room a bit cold until I found the space heater in the bedroom, then it was OK. Functional kitchen but didn't end up using it. Great base to explore New York from. Overall an excellent value for the money, was pleased with the place.
