Connaught Place is the historic center of New Delhi. The area has the charm associated with this period. (early 192Os) It is close to many of the historic sights of Delhi, shopping and restaurant areas of central Delhi and of many international head quarters.
All transport means are nearby, including the metro and express metro to airport which is a few meters away.
The building was built at the same time as the renowned Imperial Hotel which is nearby. Although central, the building is in a quiet private (website hidden) is an enclave of peace and charm right in the middle of Central Delhi.
The prices given are for short stays. We are happy to discuss proposals for periods longer that ten days on a case by case basis depending on the length of the period and number of occupants.
The garden flat has just been renovated and we have put it on the website very recently. However we own the building and you can also check the reviews for our top floor terrace flat: two bed terrace flat: central Delhi
Please relax and let us know how we can help. Please note that electricity cuts happen in Delhi, usually for a few minutes.
the location was very central and the flat was spacious, the garden was lovely and the security guards were very friendly. I would stay there again. thank you for hosting us!
The apartemt is excellently located: just a few minutes walking distance from Connaught place yet on a small alley, which concurrently grants access to a very central place while being away from noises and traffic. The place is also very comfortable: the rooms are very large and spacious and with a lot of natural light - a cozy little garden is also available right out of the windows. However being on the ground floor some insects are to be expected. Unfortunately we met quite a few cockroaches but understand measures are currently being taken to eradicate them. When we moved in, the place hadn't probably been used for a while so it was quite dusty and with quite some cobwebs but once informed, the local management was prompt in cleaning it. Some basic renovation actions (e.g. repainting the walls, washing/replacing the fabric of the many lamps, thouroughly cleaning the windows and wardrobes) would easily turn this place into a residential gem.
Thank you, Alec & Cecile, this is a great and comfortable place. Rajni and her team run it professionally; when little issues come up, they are solved quickly. The location is terrific, 300 meters from busy Connaught Place, yet relatively quiet as the house lies in a little lane off the main traffic. Highly recommended.
everything about the apartment is lovely: it is fully furnished, nicely decorated, clean and the guards/housekeepers are helpful and friendly. It is centrally located and its only 5 minutes walk to the central district of connought's place.
Our stay in New Delhi at CP, G4 security 24/7 Charm Garden, a beautiful flat rented by Alec and Cecile Khindria from January 1st to April 15, 2014 was a wonderful experience.
The flat is very, very cozy and nicely furnished and with all the necessary equipment to cook and be comfortable. After 4 and a half months it felt like home to us.
The rooms are very spacious and the kitchen even though is small it is well equipped, the fridge is small, but it is better in one way, so every day off we went to the market and bought all fresh stuff (Gole Market is the neighbourhood market).
Heaters kept us warm in the winter and the AC was very good in the summer.
Location, Location, Location. Absolutely great, so close to Connaught Circle, the metro and the market, just a wonderful place to be.
Rajni, the manager was very pleasant, efficient and professional in her dealings with us. The owner as well as Cecile were always there if we needed something, but we found that Rajni took care of everything we needed (along with Sandeep, Kashyap and Deepak).
The whole staff was very helpful and kind to us and they made our stay very pleasant.
The Internet was a bit of an issue, since my husband was working at home, but we put a direct connection and that helped.
We had some problems with the plumbing, but they were taken care off, hopefully the owner will find a permanent solution to this problem for future renters.
We found the Connaught Hotel to be a good landmark for the auto rickshas.
We would no doubt recommend this place. All of our guests and visitors fell in love with the place.
Thank you all. Swapan and Cecilia Das Gupta
I and my bestfriend stayed here for 6 days and we love this place! We will definitely make this our home next time we visit New Delhi. It's clean, secured and the neighborhood is safe. The flat is very spacious and cozy. The location is just perfect for going around Connaught Place and New Delhi. The place have all the essentials such as airconditioning, hot and cold water, refrigerator, microwave, kitchen utensils, iron and board, washing machine and even heater. We could say it had everything that we need including clean sheets and towels. The manager and guards were very helpful as well. Our hosts Alec and Cecile were very attentive to our requests. They definitely made our stay convenient from airport pick up till the last day. Airport pick up is highly suggested for those who are in Delhi the first time especially if you arrive in the evening. It will be a lot easier for you to have a driver who already know your destination. Anyway once you get around Connaught Place and get the hang of it, the flat wont be hard to find. If you plan on going to other destinations such as Agra where Taj Mahal and Red Fort is, we recommend you book a transportation through the building manager who can contact the car rental company. Also as an added information, it is not easy to get a cab around New Delhi so better if you try the rickshaw (something that will count as immersion with the locals) or hire a car ahead especially for going out at night or travelling long distances. For food, there are plenty to choose from around CP circle which is a few blocks away from the flat. You will also find money changer and banks in the area. For souk shopping go to Sarojini Nagar Market or Central Market in Lajpat Nagar. All in all it was an incredible experience for us. It was truly memorable and enjoyable. Hope its the same for everyone. Cheers!
Overall I feel this apartment is good value. The photos are a little brighter than I expected when I arrived, particularly the bedrooms.
The location is on a quiet alley within easy (3-5 minute) walking distance from Connaught Place. Security is there 24 hours just outside your door in a hallway office, so it's quite likely more secure than any hotel room you'll ever stay in.
If you cross the street, cut through an alley next to the Hanuman temple and park hotel you'll arrive at the Jantar Mantar. This is Jaipur's astrological smaller cousin, peaceful and interesting.
The Ugrasen Ki Baoli (ancient stepwell) is within walking distance to the SE of Connaught Place. I highly recommend it as an off the beaten path destination. Carry a map, it's not an obvious location in a quiet residential area.
