Torben and Helene's apartment is perfect for a great Copenhagen experience. The couple met us at the apartment and showed us the ins and outs about how everything worked. The apartment looks exactly as pictured and is right across the street from a lovely park that we had a great time strolling through. Right down the street are three markets and restaurants and everything else we explored was within easy walking distance. The apartment is ideally situated. We couldn't have asked for a better stay! Thank you!
This is a wonderful location and a wonderful unit in Copenhagen. It is located on bus line 26 with a stop on each side of the street right in front of the apartment. It is a 5 minute ride or a 15 minute walk to downtown and bus 26 also provides transit to the Cruise Ship terminal and with one bus change to the Norreport Station, also a 15 minute walk if the weather is favorable, in order to catch the Regional Train to the magnificent Louisiana Museum. With a Copenhagen Card or a transit pass all the rides are included. The difference being that the Copenhagen Card includes all museums and other attractions plus a 10% discount in most restaurants. I don't know if the Copenhagen Card is cost efficient but it is certainly convenient. You can pick one up at the airport as you arrive out of Passport control into the SAS portion of terminal 3, the booth is labeled "Information" and is located on the left side of the terminal. The Metro to downtown is up the elevator or escalator, across the freeway on the walking ramp and just on the other side.
Riding directions to Apartment
1. Ride the Metro to Kongens Nytorf (eighth stop)
2. Ride the elevator in either end of the Metro Station to the street (top button)
3. WALK ACROSS THE STREET to the bus stop in front of the Royal Theatre (bus 26 should be listed on yellow sign-most days it runs every 10 minutes, less frequently on weekends).
4. Take bus 26 towards away from downtown 4 stops to Solvgade and Kronprinsensg street. MAKE SURE YOU PUSH STOP BUTTON BEFORE YOUR STOP. THEY DON'T STOP AUTOMATICALLY. All drivers speak some English.
Overall I give this place an A. The bed is comfortable and there is a wonderful library/den with many English language books.
Our hosts Helene and Torben were very welcoming and gave us some good concise information. There were also fresh roses which was lovely. The neighbourhood is gorgeous with Kings Park across the street and the centre of CH a ten minute walk.
Warm welcome, lovely flat, convenient location- we had a great stay and would definitely recommend both the place and the hosts!
Modern Danish design, great subtleties and amazing location! If you are looking to explore Copenhagen and get a feel on how the Danish live i'd put this place in the number 1 position of your list. Torben is a key ingredient here, he made us feel welcome and his enthusiasm & assistance as a host was flawless. The apartment was large and very comfortable, this has been without a doubt one of the very best stays we have experienced on Airbnb!
This was our first stay using Airbnb and if they are all similar to our experience in Torben and Helene's apartment then we will not be staying in many hotels in the future!
Torben was very helpful during the booking process, replying to my questions very promptly as well as helping with plans for our itinerary. Both Torben and Helene welcomed us at the apartment on our arrival and took interest in what we had planned for our stay, making suggestions that enhanced our visit to Copenhagen (especially, if going to Louisiana get there early and head to the cafe for lunch as soon as possible!).
The apartment was spacious, stylishly furnished, well-equipped and spotlessly clean and we felt at home straight away. It was in walking distance of the city centre and its main attractions whilst also providing a quiet haven that we were happy to relax in in the evening and between visits to nearby attractions during the day. The local neighbourhood had plenty of shops, cafes and bike hire shops and we particularly enjoyed being so close to the beautiful Kongens Have park, where we spent one afternoon just lounging with a beer in the sunshine.
We felt Torben and Helene's apartment greatly added to the enjoyment of our stay in Copenhagen, allowing us to experience the city more in the way that a local would. We cannot recommend this apartment highly enough and will definitely stay here again if we return to Copenhagen.
Torben was very welcoming and informative. The place was amazing and the location is perfect for exploring Copenhagen. I would definitely consider staying here again.
