We enjoyed our stay at Killarney View House. We liked having a view of the River Flesk, and appreciated having a healthy breakfast served each morning to start our day.
Very nice B & B. Walking distance to town and train station. Great views of river from gathering room, dining room and deck. Everyone was very friendly. The gathering room was a great place to relax in the evening and share a beverage with your fellow travelers (BYO). We had a great time at the Killarney View House and would definetly return. The only thing I would do different next time is make direct contact to confirm as they were overbooked when we arrived. We were early enough we did not have to relocate, but someone else did. Probably just a one time problem!
Wonderful Bed and Breakfast!!! Great location outside the City center and close enough to walk. Gorgeous view and location. Great breakfast! Would love to return!!! Thank you for such great hospitality!
We had a wonderful stay at the Killarney view house. The room met all of our needs and the morning breakfast was delightful! The location of the house was abut a 15 min walk to the shops/restaurants of Killarney. It was also very close to the park! I definitely recommend staying at the Killarney view house.
Friendly hosts, just 10minutes walk to the town, room basic and old and lovely breakfast!
Mary's staff was very friendly, the breakfast was AMAZING, and the room was very tidy and clean. The only somewhat bad thing was the wireless internet was very spotty from time to time and you were unable to get it in your room. Overall this was a great place and a great value.
Killarney View House offered good value and good location near the park. Although the room was quite basic, the shared spaces in the house (tea room with fireplace and breakfast room) were very nice. I loved the full Irish breakfast and the staff was especially lovely.
Our stay here was nice. The room was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly.
The Killarney View House was a fantastic choice. It's situated on the main road next to the river with rooms that over it toward the town. There were other B&Bs down the road closer to the city, but most of them still required a long walk so it was better to stay a little farther out. There was plenty of parking behind the building.
We were greated by Catlynn, one of the two women who manage the property. She was very sweet and brought us to a spacious room at the end of the hall. There was more than enough space for us and our luggage. The room even included an extra sink outside the bathroom. After dropping everything off, she brought us upstairs to the common space. There was plenty of seating up there, fixings for tea and coffee, and a fireplace. The view was gorgeous.
After having some hot tea by the fire, we asked for dinner recommendations. The suggested restaurant was Robertino's The Met on High Street. They served dishes from all around the Mediterranean. We returned with a bottle of wine which we drank in front of the fire late into the evening.
We got up early the next morning for breakfast. There were a few things laid out. The other manager took our Irish breakfast order. I'm allergic to eggs so they gave me more bacon and sausages. My girlfriend thought their black and white puddings were the best ever. YUM!
Our stay was a little more than half a day. Everything was wonderful. The ladies were great hosts. We love the area and plan to return in the future for more explorations. We hope that they will have a room for us when the time comes.
