Our second stay at Killarney View House, and Margaret and the girls made us feel most welcome. They are so helpful with arranging cabs, etc. The breakfast was just as good as we remembered, the location beside the river is beautiful, and the fire in the lounge each evening is delightfully cozy after a day of sight seeing.
On this Ireland trip, the Killarney View House was our most hotel like stay. It is a large B&B with a fun lounge that has coffee, tea, and biscuits you can enjoy with a great view of the river, a fireplace and often the company of other guests. Breakfast was a mix of self-serve and ordering. I had the traditional Irish fry and was not disappointed.
Such a lovely place to stay when visiting Killarney. Beautiful view of the river from both our room and the cozy lounge. Right next to Killarney National Park if you want to go hiking; easy walk into town; great jumping off point to explore Kerry. Highly recommend! Many thanks to Mary and the rest of the lovely staff.
Mary was up till midnight just to let us in, because we missed a ferry and came later as we planed. Small room with very comfortable beds. Awesome view, delicious breakfast and kind service. We missed the hot water to take a nice shower in the morning.
This place had an excellent location. It is situated within walking distance of both downtown Killarney and Killarney National Park. The room was clean and the breakfast prompt. We were even told to still come get breakfast even after we thought we had missed the time period. The only complaints I have were that the wifi did not work in my room. I do not think this is the experience in every room, just the room I was in. It did work if you went into the sitting room. Also, there were few plugs available in the room and we had to move the bed to find them.
