The space
This is a Victorian beauty, located in the Noe Valley. Updated kitchen and bathroom. Walking distance to Whole Foods, cafes, transportation, restaurants and shopping.
The house is located in Noe Valley - one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in San Francisco. The house is near the quaint and famous 24th Street, which has boutique clothing shops, great restaurants, bistro coffee shops, Whole Foods.

KITCHEN:
Note- listing is for bedroom and bathroom only, no other common areas are included for guest use, as we try to make sure the bedroom is equipped with all of the essentials. And although we don’t offer cooking for guests, we are happy to save a small space in the refrigerator for a some food items and guests may use the kitchen for basic things like packing a lunch, making tea or coffee (not provided), or heating up leftovers or a snack in the mini oven for instance. However we can no longer offer guests full use of the kitchen for cooking unfortunately

The bedroom has a very comfortable, firm (not too hard) queen size bed, The bed will be lined with clean sheets, and the bathroom will be fully stocked with all toiletries and fresh towels.

Please be aware we don’t allow guests to have their own guests over as a house rule, especially without permission ahead of time, as they would not be registered and verified by Airbnb.

My wife and I reside in the other bedroom on the other side of the home (not sharing a wall), with our own bathroom. If you need anything at any time, you can message or talk to us. We are here to help with any questions or issues to make sure you have a fantastic experience.

TRANSPORTATION:
The home is literally 30 seconds walk to J-Church streetcar, which provides transportation to most neighborhoods such as downtown San Francisco, the Sunset (Ocean Beach), the Embarcadero, and the Castro. Walk 5 minutes from the house down 24th St, and you will have the BART - a high speed subway system. BART will take you to Downtown San Francisco, the Mission, the East Bay (Berkeley, Oakland) and to the San Francisco Airport. See additional neighborhood and transportation comments below toward the bottom.

Getting to the House from San Francisco airport:
Take BART from SFO to Mission and 24th St, you can walk approx 5 blocks to the house. You can also take a taxi or Uber/Lyft to the house - a 30 minute ride door to door.

PARKING:
You will find plenty of street parking, but it is limited to either meters or two-hours. Residential non-metered street parking has a 2-hour limit Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and is free without time limits Saturday and Sunday.
Make sure to check Street Cleaning signs on both sides of the street before you park to avoid getting a ticket for parking on a day/time when there is street cleaning.
Feel free to call, text or email me any time during your stay for any reason. I will have suggestions about traveling inside and outside the city as well as night and daytime entertainment. I'm looking forward to having you as our guest!

The Mission Dolores and Noe Valley NEIGHBORHOODS:
As you walk the streets of the Mission you will find a plethora of taquerias, produce markets, Salvadoran bakeries, hip cafes, thrift shops and used-book stores. The Mission has evolved a cool coffee culture - taking the work of barista to a level of art and science. Long story short - you’ll find the best coffee in the city in the Mission. We recommend a quaint spot called “Coffee Shop” - 3139 Mission St. The owner, Wilson Jones is the nicest guy you’ll meet. I call him the Willy Wonka of coffee.

The area has everything you need for a good time out: trendy food spots, boutique clothing shops, bars, and live music.

Basically, everything is in walking distance. 24th Street area is the cultural heart of the Noe Valley, including the incomparable Dolores Park - 5 minute walk from the house - recently reconstructed with new facilities such as basketball and tennis courts, bathrooms, a huge grassy field for picnics, and a state-of-the art children’s playground.

Walk three blocks east and you will run into Valencia Street - the cultural hub of the Mission - offering a concoction of hipster cafes, vintage clothing shops, galleries, and restaurants. Valencia also offers a sundry nightlife of trendy bars, lounges, and music venues supporting local artists new and old.

Enjoy the J-Train street car a few seconds walk from the house! (download the app called Routesy to see when the next train will arrive at your stop).

Mission and 24th St has BART, which can take you to downtown, East Bay (Oakland and Berkeley) and the San Francisco Airport.

There is an Uber or Lyft driver 2 minutes away from pretty much anywhere in San Francisco. If you need help with this, let me know and I'll get you set up.

Bus routes will take you anywhere in the city. I will help you get oriented if you need.

San Francisco provides ferry service across the bay to Marin County, Alcatraz, and Angel Island. Scenic drive to Sonoma and Napa vineyards across the Golden Gate Bridge.

Guest access
1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, limited kitchen* (*cooking not available for guests, kitchen only for storing a few items in fridge and basic things like heating up a snack or leftovers in the mini oven, packing a lunch, heating water, for example.

Note This is not en-suite, the bedroom is private, the bathroom is in the hall next to the bedroom, it is for guest use only. The other bedroom is a private suite, as well as office behind the kitchen is occupied by a permanent resident, 32 year old male, Mark with his 30 year old wife. Quiet and friendly and very clean. You will have a separate shelf in the fridge and your own space in the kitchen cabinet. The bedroom is for one person ONLY. No overnight guests please. NO OTHER ROOMS are included in this offer. The room does not have TV, bring your laptop or notebook to watch your shows. Free WiFi is available. Note: if you are sensitive to the City sounds, there is a street car that runs on Church street. Most feedback that it was not a significant factor. However, we provide ear plugs and white noise machine for the most sensitive guests. Noe Valley neighborhood is one of the most sought after areas in San Francisco by locals as well as visitors. This is an urban living, with next door neighbors, working families, babies, garbage prick up early every Tuesday, public transportation, etc.. Basically your typical city life. Our family live in the same building, which has three levels and separate entry from the advertised space. Check-in time is strict, 3pm. We need time to clean and prepare room for you. No exceptions. No hold overs please. Check out time is 11 am. If you have a late flight, please make arrangements for your luggage. As this is not a hotel, we cannot store your personal items on premises after 11am.

Other things to note
We welcome you to our home. We would like you to know in advance that we are working family, we treat you with respect and offer privacy, but we can not cater, serve or offer maid or concierge service every day. The beds are not made or changed every day, the rooms are not being cleaned every day. If you require every day service, the hotel is a better option for you. If you stay for more then two weeks, the routine cleaning service will do all that, or it could happen while you're here if its their regular time. We will try to remember to let you know a day in advance. Otherwise we do not enter your room at all. If you need a vacuum cleaner, or a broom or fresh towels while you're staying please let us know. If for some reason you are not satisfied with any aspect of the place, please let us know. We would be happy to assist to the best of our ability. Also as a full disclosure, this is not a new building, its a living- breathing home, older Victorian that is typical for San Francisco, with its normal wear and tear signs of live and use, such as various scratches and nicks, but its clean and cozy and everyone loves it including us:) So welcome to our home!
