The Space

Welcome to Fort Greene.

- Please note that A/C will be installed at the end of June in the bedroom top window so that the room will look slightly different from the photo.

- I have a 6month old Border Collie mix puppy (as of May 30th), she is extremely smart, friendly, and mellow. Also I have a lovebird in my room.
So If you are an animal lover welcome to our lovely apartment in Fort Greene :)

This cozy, cute, and ethnic-feeling private room is available in the heart of Fort Greene! The room has a full-sized bed and the room is facing our private backyard so that it's quiet. You would hear beautiful birds chirping during the daytime. During the summer time, you feel like as if you are in a forest:)

Our apt is located in the center of the historic Fort Greene, so that you can easily spend all of your day around in this neighborhood. Because there are so many things happening here and you can easily walk to Park Slope area, and also using the Citi bike you can even go to Williamsburg, Dumbo, Red hook..etc...Our neighborhood has an artsy vibe (Spike Lee's office is right in front of our building), laid back, dog friendly, and the most important is it's a SUPER SAFE neighborhood. I am a musician so I come home late quite often but I feel safe.

Check In
  • Etsuko (email hidden), and the space was clean and very convenient! It was on the louder side at times (as per previous reviews), but it wasn't too distracting. Overall, great place and event better location.

  • Stayed at Etsuko's place with my mom and had a fantastic experience. Our flight was delayed coming in, and Etsuko trusted us enough to leave keys for us since she was out of the apartment for our convenience. The apartment is as listed - great location (right opposite Spike Lee's office), clean and well organized. Bed is very comfortable. The girls are very friendly and helpful and Momo (Etsuko's dog) is a sweetheart. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

    Response from Etsuko:

Thank you Kunal, It was my pleasure to host you and your mother:)

  • This is a very comfortable and tasteful room located just around the corner from Fulton Street subway station in Brooklyn, giving easy access to Manhattan. During my stay, Etsuko was an amiable host and put me at ease in what was my first experience with Airbnb. I got a good feeling from the neighbourhood and found plenty of good places to eat very close to the apartment. I'd definitely recommend this room to anyone after a pleasant stay in this part of Brooklyn.

  • Etsuko and her roommate were both friendly hosts - the communication and checkin process were great. The apartment is clean and comfortable, and in a prime location in Fort Greene. I definitely would recommend staying here!

    May 2014
  • Stayed with Etsuko and her roommate for 3 nights. It was my first experience with Airbnb and I loved it! The apartment was clean and cozy. Spacious room and very comfortable bed. I enjoyed my interaction with Etsuko. Had nice conversation with her roommate as well. She is very friendly and welcoming. Her puppy is adorable. The neighbourhood is trendy and super close to the subway. It took me 20 min or less to get into Manhattan. I would do this again in a heartbeat and look forward to staying with Etsuko in the future.

  • My husband and I were very appreciative of Etsuko allowing us to stay for several weeks. Her place was within 5 min. walking distance to where our daughter lives so it was so convenient to have found something so close by. Our daughter living in Brooklyn gave birth to her first baby and we wanted to be there for the first time parents, and finding a place so conveniently close felt like a miracle for us. Etsuko was a very charming young lady (email hidden). We also frequented many of the restaurants in her neighborhood, and I must say that some became our favorites.

  • Etsuko was a super fun host, very outgoing and made communication easy. And she was super understanding when I locked myself out of the apartment at 4 in the morning! The room is of a good size, with a comfy bed. The location is terrific, close to two subway lines. On the whole, a very positive experience.

  • I stayed at Etsuko's for a week and I had an excellent experience and would stay there again.
Etsuko and her flatmate are absolutely lovely and they made me feel at home straight away. I felt like we were actual housemates even though it was a short stay. I very much hope to stay in touch.
Communications for all the admin went very well.
The room is fairly big, clean, with a very comfortable bed and lots of sunlight. As per other reviews, it can get a bit noisy so maybe bring ear plugs if you have light sleep but personally it didn't bother me at all.
The apartment is rather large with a comfortable living room where you can hang out. Bathroom and kitchen were completely fine.
The neighborhood is fantastic and very well connected. Lots of little cafes and restaurants, and you get a very different experience from the typical Manhattan experience. Highly recommended.
Also worth noting that there was a little dog when I was there and she is to die for.

    March 2014
  • Real good place if you can deal with any kind of noise, just bring your ear buds. You would need those in most hotels too due to the generally noisy heating systems (in winter).
Cool location, 3 different MTA stations close by + shops, restaurants, grocery stores etc.

    February 2014
  • Really lovely meeting Etsuko and her housemate, they were both very welcoming and super helpful. Apartment was close to multiple subway lines and really quick to get to central Manhattan. Bed was super comfortable, room was nice size and (website hidden) was easy to communicate with. Thanks Etsuko!
