About this listing
Century Home completely removated. Everyone agrees, all the renovations came out great! Cool, comfy, plenty of street parking.
I bought this century home 10 years ago, and after tons of renovation, it's pretty awesome! Your bed is a full bed in a private bedroom.
It's got plenty of free street parking, a back yard, front porch, and a very convenient location if you don't have a car.
It's 4 houses from the bus which runs on Detroit. It will take you downtown in 15 minutes. It's also a block and a half away from the Red Line, which runs downtown and directly to the airport.
The house is 3 streets east of the hustle and bustle on W 117th, where you can find anything you could possibly want - groceries, restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee, banks, state liquor store... etc.
I have 2 awesome cats, and one awesome roommate. They are all very laid back and super chill.
If you do book it, I need to know your arrival time please.
Thanks for checking me out!
WIFI, AC, power outlets, washer/dryer, coffee maker, two awesome kitties... and you get to pick the name of my first-born child.
Interaction with Guests
As needed - I know Cleveland well. I'm always available to help make the stay as fun and painless as possible.
Walking distance to bars (one w/ live music), 24/7 restaurant, coffee, the Interstate, and public transit. 5 minutes to Edgewater Beach, 10 minutes to downtown.
Yep! Public transit four houses away.
Treat it like you would your own home. Leave it like you got it :)
Great location and nice host but agreed - not for the sensitive nosed. The room itself does not have an odor but the rest of the apartment does. Fine for a quick overnight and go. Nick replied quickly and out transaction was seamless.
Staying with Nick was an AMAZING experience. He treated me as a friend and went over and above to make me feel welcome. Nick's house is very clean and well maintained. The neighborhood is also very peaceful and serene. I was in a crunch and needed a clean shirt so he washed one for me! Nick's house is also conveniently located near a bus and train that brings you directly to the heart of Cleveland. Anyone looking to experience Cleveland and its hospitality I highly recommend you stay with Nick.
We did not get to meet Nick, but he responded very quickly and was very good with communication since we booked last minute and just needed to sleep/break for the night. The room was as pictured but it is on the second floor in a separated apartment of the housethrough rear entry. The scent of cat urine was present when we entered the apartment but we couldn't smell it in the room and it subsided if we had to go out and use the bathroom. There were a couple of cat hairs on the sheets but nothing unmanageable. Quick and easy and there was a folder full of brochures if we had wanted to go downtown. Met the needs for the evening.
Nick was very present and flexible. Didn't have the opportunity to meet him but communicated through the AirBNB app. The space I was in was clean but the entire house smelled like cat litter and that was very unpleasant. I have two cats myself and I understand the inability to clean every day but this was far beyond that. The room I stayed in was very clean. I couldn't turn on the AC however (not even sure if AC was a part of what I signed up for?) The bed was fairly comfortable. The covers had a slight cat urine smell. Bathroom was mostly clean. As nice as nick was I probably wouldn't consider staying here again.
Nick is a super cool, chill guy who held a very welcoming and clean space for my boyfriend and I. He shared things we could check out in the area, including a blues club down the street that we visited--Brothers lounge--and thoroughly enjoyed!!
My coworker and I stayed with Nick for two weeks, and we couldn't have chose a better place. Even though we had to get up early and occasionally monopolized his kitchen to make dinner, he didn't mind at all. In fact, he was generous with everything in his home and went out of his way to introduce us to restaurants, bars, and his friends. The room was well-kept and clean, and the two cats are absolute sweethearts. He made Cleveland much more fun than either of us anticipated it
Nick is a very very good guy!! He shows us restaurants and attractions in Cleveland. He also invited us to the edgewater park.I love his cozy house and the lazy kitty.
