Queen for you at The Rivermount

Bed & Breakfast - Private room · Rivermount Terrace, Burlington, VT 05408, United States

The Space

Cheers, and welcome to Burlington, a lifetime here and every season gets better!

I have a clean quiet and comfortable place for you to sleep while you spend some time in my city. I have 2 15x15 bedrooms located in my home, one has a King the other a Queen, it costs $20 more to be the King, but its good to be the king! They both have lots of closet and dresser space, need to charge your device? Filtered water, got that! You get the picture, I really try to make this a good memory for you. These are dedicated guest rooms. And yes, there is AC in the rooms. The bathroom (I have my own 1/2 bath) is bright, cheery and clean. I have plenty of towels for you. Of course you can use my kitchen, plenty of fridge space, simple breakfast items for you and coffee. The common area has a comfy coach, lots of chairs, a working fireplace, and a 60' Netflix enabled telly.

This is where I can also let my culinary skills shine and offer a Saturday night white table cloth multi course dinner for up to six for $60 per person. I encourage inquires. I promise prompt replies, tell me what you are looking for.

I have 1,500 ft of house pretty much ruled by my two American Bobtails, Riny & Stumpy, sis & bro. I do have hardwood floors and a good vacuum, and guest doors are closed when vacant, pet hair travels, just can't be helped.

My linen closet is well stocked, the bathroom clean and the water pressure perfect, nothing fancy but body wash, etc....and us tall peeps do not have to stoop over in the shower! I have a beautiful dining table, chairs, clean comfy coach, leather chair, 60” with Netflix and my itunes. If you like to be grounded to the earth my patio is 6 tons of concrete, and 2 of stone and tile, and years of my time. Gee, even on a cold winter's day it is magical. You may smoke and drink out here, it is very private . I think you will like it! Enjoy my home, my neighborhood. Leddy Park, Ethan Allen Park, the lake and bike path are just but a few of what this area has to offer. You are also just two blocks from public transportation.

  • Greg's place was attractive and comfortable and his kitchen was very well supplied and easy to find things in. He was affable and supplied us with a bunch of information about interesting things to do in his area. He is a Burtlington native and the information he provided us with came with some interesting stories from his lifelong love of the area. His cats were a definite plus as they are very cute and playful and we were missing our own animals.

  • Greg was very welcoming. We got in late and left early so didn't have a lot of time to spend there. But we enjoyed it! The space was comfortable and inviting.

  • We enjoyed staying at Greg's place even though it was a short one. Greg was very welcoming and my son was completely fascinated with his cats there. We had a really big and comfortable bed and a spacious, clean room. The location was quite close to downtown and the waterfront so it is not hard getting around. We would like to stay again if we visit Burlington again!

  • Gregg was a great host. He was personable, had good local knowledge of places to eat, bike rides to try, and beautiful local spots for relaxing.

His home was clean and felt welcoming. Our room was well appointed and clean as well.

Gregg has a really simple way of securing the home with an electronic lock. He gave us the pass code and that was it! Super easy.

We rented a bike from Gregg too, which was such a great idea. We had no idea Burlington's bike path was so beautiful and close to Gregg's place. Literally less than two minutes by bike and we were riding along an awesome paved path on the edge of the lake. Fantastic!

Thanks for a great stay Gregg!!

  • Gregory provides a clean quiet space in his home, privacy and the opportunity to socialize or not, as you choose. It is easy to find from downtown Burlington.
Will definitely be staying there again!

  • Thanks for your hospitality. Burlington is a cool city and Greg's place is just a quick drive to Downtown, plus well-located near the Ethan Allen Homestead. Greg is a nice guy and the cats couldn't be more adorable.

  • We enjoyed staying with Greg! He was quick to respond and accommodated us at the last minute. He was friendly, giving lots of good suggestions of places to go in the area. The room was clean and comfortable. The house was a 3 mile drive to Burlington center, offering a nice alternative to expensive hotels in the area. We would stay with Greg again!

  • Greg is one cool Hombre. Immensely personable and well-informed about local areas of interest. He runs a v tight ship and the king size bed is difficult to escape. He's also a well tooled-up muso and kindly allowed me to test-drive a Taylor guitar. I'm sold on the guitar and Rivermount. We will return.

  • Gregory is a really nice guy...enjoyed our stay at his place. It's just a short drive to the beach and he has lots of great recommendations.

  • Our first Airbnb experience and we were not disappointed. All of the hotels were booked in Burlington and someone suggested we look here. Greg got back to us right away and booking and payment couldn't have been easier. When we arrived Greg gave us the option of the Queen or King room. We chose the KIng which had a brand new mattress. Had a couple of beers and chatted with Greg for a bit. He was a great host.

Greggo here, I have been living in this wonderful spot since 1998. I love the community we have, I like being part of it. I love serving on the Burlington School Board, glad I went to NECI and have learned so much from so many people...age = experience right? Not always. I work M-F 9-5, lucky to have been working since 2003 with mostly the same peeps. Wake up in the morning mostly going let's go! If not well, just play guitar, it has mana that will reinvigorate you...ahh It has become that my most relevant description of myself it host...okay with that. Cheers!
