This charming home, situated within walking distance of downtown yet sheltered from the noise of bars and traffic, will more than meet the needs of those who come to enjoy the "Happiest town in America"

The space

Charming Craftsman Bungalow with stunning views of San Luis Obispo and its surrounding hills in quiet desirable neighborhood. Walking distance (15 mins) to downtown and train station (5 mins). spacious open-plan living room, fully updated kitchen. The guest room is 12x12 ft with en-suite bathroom, comfy queen sized bed with iron bedstead, closet and additional wardrobe. High ceilings and wood floors add to the charm. Note that additional guest/s in the same party could be accommodated in an adjacent room on trundle/day bed, sharing the bathroom. The house has wifi access, a beautiful porch where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine while taking in a beautiful sunset. The hostess, originally from UK, has been a SLO County resident for 15 years, loves her neighborhood and is happy to supply details of local attractions. Guests have some access to the kitchen and refrigerator with host's prior approval, also self service coffee/tea. Washer and dryer available for fee of $5 per load. Plenty of parking which can be an issue in SLO! . Absolutely no smoking. Pets may be accommodated under certain circumstances, negotiable. Plenty of hiking, 10 minutes drive to the ocean, SLO also offers wine tasting, theater, great restaurants and so much more. Note that there is a trundle bed in the study which may be available for child or additional adult. Discuss with hostess. Also during summer and high season times, 2 night minimum on weekends and 3 nights on holiday weekends. That said, I have been known to take last minute bookings for one night, so if you are desperate, go ahead and try me!
Note: sometimes I am away and you will have the place to yourself. Of course if that is the case you have access to make your own breakfast. At other times my fiance stays with me, but we are both respectful of your space.

Guest access

The front door has a keypad entry that requires a code to unlock it which I will give you prior to arrival. Just dial in the code and the door unlocks. To lock behind you when you leave, just push the padlock icon on the keypad. There is a key hidden at the back of the house in the event there is a problem with the key pad. Please make sure you know where the key is hidden and return it at the end of your stay. Also please park in front of the house unless advised otherwise.

Interaction with guests

If I am not going to be home when you arrive or depart, please make sure you are clear on how to enter the house and how to lock up on departure.
I do live in the house and I often enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine with my guests when time permits and when we find it mutually agreeable.

Other things to note

As we are in a severe drought, please limit water usage as much as possible. For instance, take shorter showers, about 5 minutes.

Rosh has excellent communication skills and the reservation was simple and clear. Rosh stayed in touch with us to make sure we were comfortable and that we had all we needed. My husband and I enjoyed the convenience and ease of her centrally located home. Mornings were spent having coffee on her front porch enjoying the neighborhood and peaceful couples strolling through the quiet street. The house was comfortable and very clean. I highly recommend this home for your stay in San Louise Obispo.

I had a great two-night stay at Rosh's home. It is just as described. Rosh is a warm and wonderful host. I enjoyed the walk to dowtown (less than 10 minutes) too I made numerous trips to/from Cal Poly, and it take 6 minutes to drive there from Rosh's, so it was convenient but out of the fray.

Rosh was great. Very low key and let us do our own thing. She was a pleasure to stay with in her home.

Rosh made me feel welcome before I arrived with good communication and instructions, and recommendation for a breakfast spot. She made coffee and tea available. The house is conveniently located in downtown SLO. Bedroom and bath were clean and pleasant. Bed is firm and comfortable. Rosh is a lovely person with a lovely home.
