The Space

Double room available in a very central Dublin location. The room is housed in a genuine piece of Victoriana but with all modern comforts. The house is located only a 15 minute walk from Dublin's O'Connell street and only a five minute walk from airport bus stops. Despite it's central location the house is in a quiet area and behind it is a canal side park.

  • Laura is an angel, she's every time available and helpful for something. I think she is the best landlord and her home is the best place where you can stay in Dublin. The house is very clean and very closer to city centre, we went always by walk in 15-20 minutes.
I suggest to everyone to try the Dublin's experience in this home!

  • This was the second time that I have stayed with Laura and John - testament to the great time I had there the first time! The house is lovely, the bed the most comfortable and during this stay I had more of an opportunity to explore the local area, and didn't find it lacking, some great eateries and food shops on the doorstep.

  • Laura's is a very nice host. Her apartment is perfectly located in Dublin and not very far to the center, just a few minutes walking. Is a very quiet place and you can find the Royal canal behind the apartment, perfect for a morning walk.
The apartment is very clean and the bed very confortable. Laura is a lovely and interesting person, she knows a lot about Dublin and the best places where you should go.

  • We had a great stay at Laura's place. It was very short and sweet, but Laura's house is really lovely and we slept so well in the very comfortable bed!
Laura was also really lovely and I wouldn't hesitate to return to her place and recommend others to stay - only a short walk into the main parts of town and easy access from the airport. Thanks Laura!

  • Laura was a wonderful host. She was extremely friendly and very helpful in letting us know the things we should do while we were in town. The flat was super nice and the location was great. Close to the city but not close enough for it to be noisy at night.

I am the very proud owner of a very old house. Built in 1880 it brings a new challenge every season. Since buying the house I have been, little by little, making it my own and even more slowly learning how to D.I.Y. I also love to grow veg in my tiny garden. The only significant impossible change I'd like to make to my home would be to turn it around so that i can see the canal behind it from the front door and have my garden face south (not too much to ask is it?). I've lived in the same area of Dublin on and off for about 20 years but I've done plenty of traveling internationally and within Ireland too. I work for a charity at the moment and like to spend my spare time trying to get fit and also reading anything I can pick up, physical or digital. I also do some cat fostering on occasion whereby I help rescue cats to adapt to a life indoors with humans. If i am fostering I would have just one small generally timid cat in the house at any one time, generally confined to just one area of the house downstairs, away from the bedrooms. Apart from me and a possible cat I also share the house with an old friend who neatly doesn't take up too much space. I also should note that I am working on being the greatest auntie in the world to my 5 nephews and 1 niece so if you need to play skittles or ride a toy tractor i can accommodate.
