The space

Casa Mariagrazia is an ideal place to experience an experience out of the canons. Welcoming enthusiasts, Giacomo, Pasquale or Marco, the kids who run the B & B will accompany you throughout your holiday, discovering the
Places, its beauties, its flavors.
All our rooms have air conditioning, private bathroom and balcony overlooking the sea of Positano. Each room has a large double bed (with the option of adding a single bed), and are provided with linens, towels, hairdryers and bath products. In addition to the private rooms, you can enjoy a lounge area, a garden with an orchard. Guests are provided with the keys for fully independent access.
Breakfast, generally served in the lounge, provides a rich buffet of typical local products such as sweet brioche, homemade cakes, juices, figs and other products of our gardens.
The center of Positano can be reached by shuttle bus in 15 minutes or 25 minutes, for the lovers of the promenade, through a wonderful descent featuring breathtaking landscapes.
Being at Casa Mariagrazia offers the possibility to do many activities related to the sea as boat trips or diving, but also, for trekking lovers, the direct connection with the mountain trails and the famous Path of the Gods. However, it is at the center of several tourist destinations such as Pompei, Capri, Amalfi, Ravello and Sorrento, which can be reached by ferry, bus or car.
Nearby there are several restaurants, grocery stores and shopping for local produce.

Absolutely beautiful location, in the mountains above Positano. There is a bus that comes once an hour and is usually late. The bus takes about 20-30 minutes to get down to Positano. Beautiful scenic location perfect for people who are looking to be in a good area for hiking. If you plan on spending most of your time in Positano during the day and for dinner then this location is a bit of a hike from the center of town. The host family is really wonderful and very accommodating. If they offer a social dinner during your stay, it is a must!

We loved our time here! Giancomo was very welcoming and happy to help answer any and all questions. There was a social dinner our first night, so we joined for dinner on the patio and enjoyed the company, ambiance and food so much we were hoping there would be another on our last night! The view is absolutely stunning, we spent as much time as possible on the patio or our balcony. One word of caution though-be prepared for a hike to get to and from the property! The ancient path from the road to the house is a lot of stairs, hills and narrow paths through the wild.

The brothers were all so welcoming! Yes as many people described it there are a ton of stairs but the view is worth it. The hosts make your stay the best. I loved this place so much I cannot wait to go back. Everyday at 5pm they have drinks and apps available for purchase. I can still taste the cheese, honey, figs and tomatoes. Its the perfect time to enjoy the sunset and view of all of Positano. Cooking classes are also available. The best farm to table cooking class you can ever take! I loved learned about how they grow their garden and learning how to make the delicious dishes. Social night dinners are also a must do at the B&B.

Staying with Pasquale and his family was truly magical. Here's why: 1) I was worried that I wouldn't get the Colle Dell'ara experience staying in this private apartment, but we did. We were welcome up there, had a social dinner with other guests there our first night (which was DELICIOUS and cooked by the family with organic food from their garden), went up there for breakfast, and could have hung out up there as much as we wanted. 2) The apartment itself was lovely and we had breakfast waiting for us every morning; we ate it on our balcony. There was conveniently a wine opener in our room and wine glasses we could use for evenings on the balcony. It was so nice being near some things, but away from the hustle of "downtown" Positano...we couldn't wait to get back up the hill after a day there. We were also most of the way to the start of Path of the Gods, which we loved hiking. 3) We were walking distance from some adorable restaurants (Il Ritrovo was our favorite), a little market that had delicious cheap wine, water, and snacks, and right next to the steps down to Positano, and while I'm sure Pasquale or his family would have come and picked us up, to the walk up to the main B&B was fun! 4) While we braved public transportation back to Naples, the driver that Pasquale arranged to get us at the Naples train station upon our arrival was great and communicated directly with the family, so our arrival was super smooth. 5) Pasquale and his brother Marco were some of the kindest hosts I've ever met. They have a great reputation in town too. Seriously, anyone who stays anywhere not with this family is missing out.

We had no trouble getting in touch with our host- the room had a lovely view, was clean and had all basic requirements. The breakfast was one of the best we had during our 2 week stay in Italy.

This review may be a bit biased due to the fact that we stayed at the other property the previous 2 nights and absolutely loved it. This property is down the hill from the main house, which affords a little more privacy, but comparatively, lost it's charm due to the separation. We did not enjoy our stay in this room nearly as much for a few different reasons. Firstly, your view is nice from the room, but not comparable at all compared to the main house. Secondly, you have to schedule your breakfast to have it brought down from the main house rather than affording to wake at your leisure, which isn't terrible, but does limit your freedom and your options in terms of the foods that are available (ie no second cup of coffee, no yogurt, no hardboiled egg for my wife). Thirdly, the seclusion tends to make you isolated and unaware of possible activities occurring through the B&B. When we stayed at the main house, someone was always around if we had a question, activities were listed on the board in the living room and we generally felt like we were part of a community there for a few days. At the Casa Mariagrazia, it completely lacks that and we felt like more of an afterthought. During our two day stay, we didn't see anyone except when breakfast was brought down. My only two other gripes are that the mattress is rock hard and that the room is priced equally to the other rooms despite reasons listed above and the fact that it is quite significantly smaller than the other comparable room at Casa Mariagrazia (camera 1). Recommendation would be to stay at the main house if at all possible which was a much different and better experience
