BRICK LANE A microcosm of London's shifting ethnic patterns, the area around Brick Lane in East London was once associated with poor slums and the scene of the crime for the Jack the Ripper murders. Whilst the notorious pub Ten Bells still stands, the area itself is now extremely popular with London’s edgy and artistic crowd, featuring galleries, restaurants, markets and festivals throughout the year.
The Old Truman Brewery at 91 Brick Lane houses a vibrant market where up-and-coming designers set up shop every Sunday selling a unique variety of clothes, handbags and jewellery. There are also vintage clothing stores and chic boutiques dotted around the area.
Brick Lane has always been famed for its many authentic curry restaurants. It now also has a reputation for its warehouse art exhibitions and trendy clubs and bars. So, before your East London experience is complete, be sure to head to the Vibe Bars beer garden or 93 Feet East (150 Brick Lane) which has become an East End institution well known for its eclectic mix of live music and intimate atmosphere.

COLUMBIA STREET FLOWER MARKET For an authentic East London experience, nothing comes close to Columbia Road market on a Sunday morning. Jam packed with the best blooms in the capital, it’(email hidden)ly and pretty noisy affair (and not for those who prefer peace and quiet on a Sunday), with salt-of-the-earth Eastender types, shouting at the top of their lungs and all trying to outdo one another's patter. During the rest of the week you can dine and shop at the rest of the quaint little restaurants and boutiques.
VICTORIA PARK Victoria Park is one of London’s most important historic parks and its oldest public park. It has been used by millions of Londoners for nearly 170 years as a place of healthy recreation, sports, play and relaxation. Victoria Park has beaten off stiff competition to be crowned the nation’s favourite park in this year’s prestigious People’s Choice Award.
A really vibrant area with so much to do when you are not busy out there shopping.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. I stayed there with 5 other girls and we had enough space. Everything was clean and nicely furnished.

    February 2014
  • Cute apartment close to the city centre and Liverpool Street Station. Very nice area with a lot of pubs and shops. Kaz was very attentive. When I return to London I will definitely return to this apartment.

    January 2014
  • Kaz was very helpful and the apartment was clean and in a fun part of the city, close to the Tube and many other nice shops and restaurants. I would recommend the apartment highly!

    October 2013
  • Nice place not far away from Liverpool street Station. Safe area with a lot of nice shops. The appartment is perhaps too small for 8 people - 6 is probably more convenient

    October 2013
  • The location of the apt is quite close to Liverpool Street Station (1 mile away) and can be reached by bus or by walk. The environment is very quiet and is a pleasant contrast to the lively area around Liverpool Street station. The size of the apt was ok for us (5 people).
The communication with Kaz was very good. He reacted really quickly. The way description was good.
There are some small supermarkets and restaurants in the surrounding area.

I'm an ambitious, hard-working family-man. Love to watch films (favourites are the classics: Predator and The Breakfast Club!!) and spend time with my kids when I'm not working, but love my work. I'm a full-time property manager who goes the extra mile to ensure my guests are well looked after! I'm also a keen traveller, having seen every continent but Australasia, and am looking forward to one day crossing that off my list! I,m an avid Manchester United Football Club (Man Utd) fan and travel up to Manchester a few times a year to watch them. I am a season ticket holder and my passion for the team in immense.
