Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
This former dairy barn sits on a farm that has been in our family for 150 years. It was our dream to turn it into a cozy, comfortable home that could be enjoyed by anyone needing a quiet country getaway.

We are located close to Big Piney River, with river access from almost any direction, Piney River Brewing Company, Big Piney Sportsman's Club, Mark Twain National Forest and about 45 minutes to hour to several accesses on the Current and Jacks Fork Rivers.

The space
The Barn offers an open-concept living space. You will find a well-equipped kitchen with an island and dining area perfect for preparing meals for the family or breakfast for two.

Downstairs, there is a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed, reclining loveseat, and an en suite bathroom. This bedroom offers access to a small outside patio area.

Upstairs, there are two queen-size beds and a full bathroom. The upstairs bedroom also has access to a deck offering an amazing view of the surrounding countryside.

Other things to note
Please note that we are located seven miles outside of Houston, MO. and fourteen miles from Cabool, Mo.

You will want to bring your own groceries, body wash and shampoo. We provide the basics (salt, pepper, sugar, flour, oil, coffee, creamer, tea, and complimentary instant oatmeal, instant cocoa, and microwavable popcorn).

There is a Walmart Super-center and Dollar General in Houston. You can also take advantage of locally-owned restaurants, shops, and even a seasonal drive-in movie theater!

There is a Dollar General Market and Town and Country grocery store in Cabool.

Pasture near the barn is being used for cattle. A neighbor will occasionally need to use the gate by the barn to check on them.

The cattle are not pets, so don't try to pet them.

If children are staying, the surrounding yard is barbed wire fencing.

You are in the country. Deer and turkey will roam freely. Also, be aware of snakes, ticks, skunks, and other wildlife freely roaming our property.

Our home is located on the property adjacent to the barn.
