About this listing
Welome to lovely Brownstone Brooklyn! Nestled in the charming Cobble Hill neighborhood of downtown Brooklyn, our home is perfect for a family looking for a long stay.
We are two blocks from the F train, 3 short stops on the train to Manhattan. We are also just one block from Court St and Smith St. - Brooklyn's restaurant row.
You can walk to all amenities, including the newly built Brooklyn Bridge Park along the waterfront for play grounds, harbor ferries, sports fields, and bike paths.
Turn off Court St., a bustling commercial street with restaurants and shops, and you are instantly immersed in Brooklyn brownstone charm. As you enter the historic district, you leave the hustle and bustle behind and walk down our quiet, tree-lined street. You will arrive at our brownstone and some up the stoop (where you may want to hang out with a beer in the evening).
Our apartment is a triplex, the top three floors of a brownstone. It is decorated in interesting art and contemporary furnishings.
There are 5 bedrooms and two baths, space for everyone to spread out. The first floor contains the new, modern kitchen and dining area. A door leads to the lovely deck where you can enjoy summer meals. The first floor also contains the living room with flat screen tv and office area, as well as a full bath.
The second floor contains three bedrooms and another full bath. The master bedroom faces the quiet rear of the house. It also has a flat screen tv and blue-ray player. There is a kids room with bunk beds and a trundle. No need to bring toys and books - we have plenty for every age! The third room is sweet teen room, sunny and cozy.
One more flight up is the attic floor. It's sloped roof gives it a rustic charm. There is a guest room with a queen bed and skylight - cool and private. There is an additional living space and 5th spare bedroom as well. The washer/dryer is on this floor as well.

Thank you so much to Emily and her family. they really took care of us. Everything was perfect !
We had a truly lovely time staying at Emily's place. There was plenty of room for all of my 7 family members and we felt right at home. The location is great with walking access to public transportation and MANY great restaurants(Vegan ones included). Emily was super well organized and helpful with a book for everything relating to the house and area activities. We had a great time and would stay there again.
Is it possible to be homesick for someone else's home? Our wonderful visit to New York and the possibility of coming 'home' in the evenings to the family's warm, inviting brownstone made our trip truly unforgettable. We were received with kindness despite our very late arrival; the house was more than we expected, the beauty of the neighborhood just delightful-great food nearby, groceries handy for home cooking (the kitchen a pleasure for any serious cook). Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. As two families sharing the home, we never tripped over each other and everyone could find a spot to slip away and read or draw in peace. Gathering around the large dining table made for memorable meals. Books for all ages was another treat. We would highly recommend Emily's home and would love to return one day.
We stayd with 3 couples in Emilys house for 1 week. It's a very spacious house and we loved it a lot. The welcome was very friendly. You have all comfort needed.
We were in NY last week and it was rather cold, but when the weather alows it, you can enjoy the balcony (it has a large BBQ).
The neighbourhoud is very nice, safe and trendy with a lot of eating of drinking occasions. Close to the subway en only an few stops away from manhattan.
We can recommend this house for families (with or without kids) or friends/groups.
The reservation was canceled 187 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had a wonderful time in New York. The whole family was just fond of your
large and beautiful brickstone house, where everyone could find his own space.
We loved staying in Cobble Hill. After our long days in Manhattan, we really
enjoyed coming back to this charming area of Brooklyn. Our barbecue evenings on
the terrace facing the garden were just memorable moments ! Again thank you so
much for your warm welcome. Brooklyn Cobble Hill will definitely become our home
for our next trip to New York. But we hope to see you next year in Paris !
Cet appartement est proche de tous les services et il est bien pratique pour une location de plusieurs personnes. Nous conseillons cet appartement pour tous les amateurs d'antiquités et d'art, il est magnifique!
About the Host, Emily
I live in New York City, the neighborhood of Cobble Hill in Brooklyn, specifically. This is where my husband and our three children have made our home for the last 15 years. We love it here!
My husband and I are both primary school teachers and look forward to traveling with our children in the summer. Seeing the world is the best education!
