Enjoy my beautiful one-bedroom furnished cottage on my 2 acres in a Boulder, Colorado. There is a small living room with fireplace and vaulted ceilings. Small kitchen and bathroom and bedroom with vaulted ceiling and skylight that allows views of the night stars from the bed. Enjoy the cottage and the property. There is a rock/water flower garden by the field with a hot tub nearby. Enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or coffee in the morning. A fire pit can be used to warm cool nights anytime of the year. Enjoy the treehouse with a zip line to the cottage and a seasonal creek with a swing to feel young again.
The location is ideal because it's only 10 minutes by car to downtown Pearl Street and 25 minutes to downtown Denver. It's 45 minutes by car to the Rocky Mountain National Park. There's a hiking/biking trail right across the street from my property. You can ride this path to downtown and Pearl Street and many other areas in Boulder as well. There's also an RTD bus stop right across the street.
2 acres in Boulder is hard to find. There's a wonderful spacious and calming feeling to the property. I've lived in Boulder for almost thirty years and am a great resource for restaurants, hikes, entertainment, etc. I also know the Denver area fairly well and can help you out with that too.
There are beautiful views of the Flatirons from my property. Overall, an ideal place to stay while you're exploring the city of Boulder or working here temporarily. Looking forward to meeting you!
Hot tub, tree house, gas grill, laundry room (laundry room is in my home...please provide your own laundry detergent).
Interaction with Guests
I give my guests as much space as they and I need.
Country feel in an urban community.
There is a bus stop right across the street from my house.
Other Things to Note
I'm on a well and septic system. Please do not use the garbage disposal and be mindful when using water and the bathroom.
If there's a couple with a small child, there's a couch in the living room where a child could sleep. A sleeping bag on the floor would also work!
Because the cottage is separate, there aren't any rules about coming and going. You are also welcome to use my laundry room during your stay if you give me some notice.
We truly enjoyed staying at the Unique Cottage. It was a pleasure to meet Mary (and her canine "greeters"!). The cottage was just as described and quite comfortable for two people. It is close to many attractions, too. We would definitely stay there again.
Our whole honeymoon/birthday experience at Mary's little unique cottage was absolutely fantastic. Additionally, Mary's kind hospitality and warm welcome was unparalleled. From the champagne and bagels and orange juice in the fridge on arrival, to the friendly, and informative tour of the premises, Mary was indeed a spectacular host. We really enjoyed the night-time jacuzzi in the middle of the property, the treehouse, and all the little "extras" in the cottage to make us feel like we were at home. We especially appreciated the printed list of local amenities that Mary had left in the cottage, along with all the brochures and books about Boulder and Colorado in general. They certainly came in handy during our stay, and we utilized them on several occasions to glean our whereabouts in the area. The cottage itself was extremely clean, cozy and home-like, and every little detail had been accounted for, right down to the lavender scented shower soap and shea butter body lotion, to the warm fuzzy gowns for our night-time trips to the jacuzzi. We felt extremely comfortable at the cottage, and would absolutely recommend Mary's cottage to anyone traveling to Boulder, Co. We had never used Airbnb before, so now that we have, it'll be hard to find a nicer venue or a host sweeter than Mary and her dogs, and of course, the cottage, A.K.A. "The Granary," seeing as all were quite exquisite! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience, Mary! If we're ever traveling through Boulder again, we'll be sure to book "The Granary." :-)
Mary was a great host, she was very nice, available, yet never infringing. Her place is great - the hot tub is the best after a long hiking day. Location is a whisper distance from boulder, yet away from the scuttle. Great place.
Mary was a very gracious host. I especially appreciated her prompt replies to questions and was available if there was anything that came up. Her cottage was as described and just far enough from the center of Boulder to feel like you are away but still close to amenities. My daughter used it to provide a little vacation from school and enjoyed herself. It was the perfect size for one or two people.
Mary Kelly was a excellent host. She gave me privacy and did respond to my texts when I needed her.
The cottage is lovely. The property is just fabulous! It is a comfortable, quiet place to stay. A great Boulder location.
STAY HERE! I consider myself an experienced airbnb participant at this point and I must say, Mary's cottage in Boulder trumps all. I had lived in Boulder the previous summer in the city and came back to visit and relax. This cottage was just what I needed. The location is impeccable and provides the perfect blend of quiet farm living while also being really close to the main hub of Boulder life. Trails for running and biking are right around the corner. On top of everything else, you can end your day with a hot tub soak beneath the stars. Mary is a gem and an instant friend. She is a helpful host and an expert Boulderite. Seriously, stay here if you are coming to Boulder.
Mary was a very welcoming host from the start. I was able to contact her ahead of time and she answered my questions quickly. She had great suggestions about local spots, whether it be about the best hikes or breweries nearby. The cottage was just as seen in the photos, very tidy and quaint, offering us exactly what we wanted for our stay in boulder, including bathroom essentials and a full kitchen for our convenience. The cottage was just outside of downtown boulder and still very accessible to everything you could want--grocery stores, pearl street, the flatirons, etc. It was only a ten minute drive maximum and getting around boulder was extremely easy from this spot. Mary and her adorable golden retrievers definitely gave us the welcoming stay we wanted, while still giving us the privacy of a detached cottage. Thanks, Mary!

I've lived in Boulder for almost 30 years and raised my four children here, all who live independently. I have two Golden Retrievers who are friendly and loving. I love my family, friends, home and meeting new people. I love to hike and cycle.
I'm a very friendly and hospitable person. I've traveled extensively and appreciate all the different places I've stayed and relationships I've built. Those who come into my home feel welcomed and at ease. My home is a 110 year old farmhouse on 2 acres. It is a wonderful spot that is close to so many things...Denver, the Pearl Street Mall (downtown Boulder), the foothills, Eldora ski area and hiking/biking trails are across the street. I feel very blessed in my life and enjoy seeing others enjoy the wonderful space I've created for myself (with the help of my children).
