About this listing
This spacious 42m2 flat in old 1902 built house has a kitchen and one room that is a combined bedroom-livingroom
The apartment is ideal for one or two people, but a small extra bed can be requested. The apartment is clean and has been recently renovated. It is furnished with an eclectic collection of Scandinavian design. It has very tall ceilings and it is very sunny. It can be made dark by getting the blinds down.
The apartment is located in Kamppi, Hietalahti. At a walking distance of 10 min from the city center. and about 15 min walk from the Central Railway Station. Tram lines 6 and 9 are at 1 min distance walk. It is also very close to the Helsinki-Tallinn harbor, if you fancy a trip there.
On the same street there is a popular summer flea market and the organic food market which opens all year round. In front of the building there is a traditional Finnish restaurant and a little cafe. Also there's a small store, but only a couple blocks away you will find large supermarket and the liquor store.
The next facilities are included: the house is equiped with wi-fi and you can also use my laptop. Television, DVD player, CD player, Ironing machine and board, washing machine.
In the kitchen you will find a dish washer, a toaster, a blender, a whipper, a coffee machine. And of course all you need for cooking and lots and lots of Moomin stuff. There isn't elevator in the building and the apartment is on the 3rd floor. Help will be provided if needed with the luggage. You will find freshly ironed sheets and clean towels.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Smoking is not allowed in the apartment, not even from the window. THe house has silence between 10pm and 7am. If you are in the party mood you have to continue in the disco or pub after 10pm. After-partys are not allowed. I have noticed that some small items have been stolen from the apartment recently. Please respect my house and my belongings. You are allowed to use my things during your stay but taking f.ex. moomin stuff as souvenirs with you doesn't make me happy.

The flat from Mika is realy stylish and closed to the City. All was absolutly clean and it is a good place to stay in Helsinki.
We loved Helsinki and Mika's flat was the perfect base to explore from. It is very well connected for public transport, though we ended up walking a lot too since the points of interest are clustered together.
The decor in the flat is so stylish and features a lot of classic Finnish designers - you will recognise a lot of Mika's homeward if you visit the Design Museum! This made it feel like a very special and glamorous place to stay.
The flat was clean and tidy on arrival, in a quiet, secure flat block with gorgeous original features (Helsinki is full of these lovely Art Deco and nouveau buildings!). We used the kitchen to prepare breakfast and cook dinner - it had everything we needed for equipment.
Mika kindly left out some useful tourist brochures and documents which helped us plan our sightseeing. We would love to come back to Helsinki and would be very happy to stay in Mika's place again.
Mika is a very nice and responsive host.
His place is located and equiped very well.
He gave us all necessary information about travelling in Helsinki.
Special thanks for your recomendations about gluten-free places and products.
We've enjoyed this trip alot and being Mika's guests as well.
Highly recommended !
