If you're heading to Cooperstown, this is the place to stay. Great location. Great host. Great food. Couldn't say more great things about Patti & the Rose & Thistle.

The Rose and Thistle is the best bed and breakfast! The reason is because of the wonderful host, Patti! Everything was much more than we expected. The room was clean and tidy with daily housekeeping. The house was gorgeous with a huge, open porch perfect for wonderful conversation. Patti made us feel right at home. She was so incredible. Patti's an amazing chef! Each morning a unique and delicious breakfast was served on beautiful dishes. Coffee, juice, and water were served with each morning. Breakfast started with a yummy fruit dish followed by a scrumptious main dish. Each morning was different which was really fun! The house is located one mile from the main street in Cooperstown. It was an easy walk for my husband and I each day. There is also a wonderful restaurant across the street from the house. We would highly recommend The Rose and Thistle to a couple ready to have fun in Cooperstown. You will love Patti! We will definitely stay again when we return to Cooperstown.

Dearest Stephanie and Paul, I sure hope to see you both again someday, whether here in Cooperstown or in your hometown. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations on the porch as well as at breakfast. You are both wonderful folks and I have been blessed to have met you. Stay well, be safe Warmly Patti

From the moment we arrived, Patti made us feel right at home. She quickly dispensed with the nuts and bolts of the keys and lights and the particulars of our room and whet our appetites for the next morning's breakfast before asking us what we might need in terms of any dining or recreational recommendations for our stay. We immediately felt we were in good hands, and our stay was wonderful, from our charming and comfortable room with everything we might need and more to the AMAZING breakfast spread Patti presented each morning to her guests (different menu, different table linens, napkin rings, and table ware each day: a visual and culinary feast rolled into one!). Breakfast is @ 8:30 for all guests and conversation flows amidst the "mmms" and "ahhs" of deliciousness. Patti never misses a beat and anticipates her guests' every need. When everyone is duly sated, she shares stories relevant to the conversation threads being woven around the table. When asked what guests' plans are, Steve is ready with recommendations for the best Cooperstown and the surrounding area has to offer the native residents in terms of eateries and he is spot on! Patti and Steve have a wealth of knowledge about all the doings in Cooperstown and thereabouts and their cache of warmth and hospitality can't be matched.

Patty and Steve made us feel like we were part of their family. from the first time we arrive to the morning we left. This was also our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and was very comfortable and relaxing. Will stay again when in Cooperstown.

What a wonderful place to stay in "Baseball Country." Patti and Steve made us feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. They gave us an overview of the village, places to go and local restaurants to visit. Sitting with Steve next to the fireplace was delightful way to learn about the history of the town. We loved our stay there. Highly recommended. Two thumbs up!!

This was just our second B and B experience and The Rose and Thistle far exceeded our expectations. Our hostess was friendly and warm and an excellent cook! Morgan the Westie was very cute...and they both made us feel welcome. Our room was cozy with a king bed and lots of daylight. The front porch was spacious and the parlour was relaxing! The location was excellent and close to all things Cooperstown and area.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Rose and Thistle. The room was charming, nothing to find fault with. Great to have off-street parking. The breakfast itself was an unexpected delight. Every morning something different. Also the price was so much better than the Holiday Inn Express or whatever it was. We haven't really stayed at many B&Bs of this type, so we may not be as discriminating as some, but we certainly had a wonderful stay!
