Interaction with Guests
I live 3 Km far form the villa so i'll be able to be there in a very short time in case of need.
I use to go to the villa and check if everything is ok twice a week....but the frequence changes a lot according to the level of privacy my guests require.
In the neighborhood there's a beautiful tennis ground, a lot of walks along the moutain hiking the nature and the countryside and the possibility to ride horses and have wonderful wine tasting tours!
The villa is in the Chianti countryside and there're almost no public transports that connect it with the surroundings. Having a car is necessary because the nearest village is 3 Km far from the villa.
Our villa is deeped into a very quite zone so we require our guest to respect the quitness of the area and not to make to much noise, specially during the night.
We don't accept big size animals, please during the reservation phase advise if you want to bring your animal with yourself in order to be aware of that and approve or not your request.
The pool and the jacuzzi are open 24h a day from the beginning of May untill the end of September; if somebody requires to have them opened during other periods it will comport an additional fee and anyway will be agreed directly with the guest.
The heating is not included into the booking price; if any guest should require, it will be payed additionally according to the amount consumed.
From May 7 - Sep 24, 2016 the minimum stay is 7 nights.
We arrived on a Sunday night with 9 children in tow. Our host was aware that we were arriving in the evening and that we had a number of small children with us and had told us that the shops were closed on Sundays. Although he was welcoming and gave us a small bottle of olive oil that was it. There was no coffee or tea etc - absolutely nothing in the place at all! We have stayed at other AirBNB places and have always been left a pack of essentials to get you going and indeed I rent an apartment on AirBNB and leave many essentials in the cupboards. It was a disappointing start and did cast a cloud over our enjoyment as I found it difficult to forget. I have twin babies and there wasn't even a small bottle of milk left. Our first night was therefore quite a challenge to get the children fed in a small village where most of the restaurants were closed. The house was clean and the setting beautiful. We had the chef come and cook one of the nights which was lovely and worth the money for adults.
The house is essentially semi detached as it is connected to another property which I didn't expect. The area is very beautiful.
I’m not used to reply to my guests review, and also this time i thought about it several times before replying, but this time i have to.
From your review i get aware about a feeling that you never communicate to me during your staying….i use to ask frequently if everything is ok to my guests and is very disappointing on my side to receive good feedback personally and then to receive a review like yours.
I’m sorry for your troubles during the beginning of your stay but i don’t think to be responsable of it: you guessed to find things that i never told to provide, neither to you or to any other guest.
I worked to satisfy all your expressed requests, including the 2 baby cots and baby chairs that i provided in the villa, and if you would have asked me to buy some basicall stuff for your arrival, i would have been glad to do it for you...But you didn’t. So you have to blame yourself because you didn’t managed properly the situation, not me.
I don’t think that is right to be judged on the base of unexpressed personal and subjective expectations, it doesn’t work in this way.
I’m not trying to justify with you (as i told before i don’t think to have to) but i want only to get on objective perspective to the ones that will read your review.
Matteo welcomed us with a warm welcome showed us around the property and the outside amenities. Also welcomed us with two gifts, one ,olive oil that he and is family produce and a bottle of the Santcto vino Liquoroso with Italian biscuits to go with it. it was very good.
He also arranged a chef that for price would cook us dinner, we had the chef for the first night and the last night of our stay. The First Night was my wedding anniversary, he even arranged the written menu so we could have a keep sake to remember the occasion by . He was always there if we needed him. he was willing to listen to new ideas and liked engaging in conversation with us to help him improve his understanding of English.
Great place to stay with a large group for easy access to all of the Tuscan towns and cities. House has all of the modern amenities (dishwasher, washing machine, hot tub!). Would definitely recommend to friends.
We had a wonderful holiday here and feel we hit the jack pot!!! Everything was as advertised and more!! The views from the Villa are breathtaking and the people in there surrounding villages are so welcoming. We stayed a week and it was easy access to almost any place we chose to visit. Believe me ,,,,You wont be disappointed!!!
Our group had a wonderful stay at Matteo's property and very much enjoyed our visit to this beautiful part of Italy. Sitting on the terrace or in the spa with a beer, watching from on high the sun set over the beautiful countryside will be one of the highlights from our European holiday.
