The bedroom for Airbnb travellers has a wonderful city view, is light colourful and quiet.
The bathroom is adjoining. It is white tiled and is exclusively for the private use of guests.
My third floor apartment is on famous St Kilda beach facing the St Kilda pier, the marina and Port Phillip Bay.
You can sit on the balcony and watch the kite surfers or simply watch the magnificent panorama. The guest bedroom has a double bed, ample cupboard space, book shelves with storage space, décor in fresh greens and blues, a television and quality bedding.
From the bedroom window there is a skyline view of the city.
Guests have their own fully stocked bathroom with luxury bath towels.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, living area.
The living area is modern, light, stylish. The white kitchen has welcoming wide bench space, a mirror splash-back reflecting the beach views giving unlimited light to the living area.
I am an easy going host. I know Melbourne very well so it is a great pleasure to meet travellers and share in the excitement of discovering a city that the citizens of Melbourne so love.
WiFi is available to guests and there is parking space for one car. A beach pavilion opposite on the beach serves excellent coffee, cold beer, good wines and great seafood including classic fish and chips.
A ten minute walk and you are at the centre of beautiful, colourful St Kilda with its stunning beach front, cafes, bars, restaurants. Walk along the pier and you may be lucky to see the resident penguins. Across the road is Luna Park for fun and old style amusements and the much loved Palais Theatre.
A tram stop is a minute's walk away. Travel to the city is about twenty five minutes leisurely ride. The trams are a much loved feature of this elegant (website hidden) Kilda is one of the premier beach playgrounds of Australia and you are guaranteed a stay that will remain with you always.
Guests have access to car park space for one car.
Interaction with Guests
I interact with my guests in a friendly manner but I am very aware of their desire for privacy.
International visitors are often jet lagged when they arrive at my apartment so I am very respectful of their tiredness and disorientation. International flights arrive in the early morning so guests are most welcome to check in when they leave the airport.
I love my neighbourhood because it has a wonderful lively colourful atmosphere. There is always plenty of activity, a great array of cafes, bars and restaurants. Clothes and food shopping is also great fun at the South Melbourne Market which is a favourite local gathering and shopping place.
Trams are a minutes walk away. They run regularly to the city.
Smokers are asked to smoke outside the apartment. Any utensils or kitchen equipment to be handled with care, washed and put away after use.
Rubbish is to be disposed of in recycling or compost bin. Guests are asked to comply with the rules of the apartment building i.e. rules of general behaviour and decorum regarding noise and use of pool.
