Great apartment, modern and well-decorated. We stayed there for a weekend and it was perfect for a group of friends! You just can't find better location in Barcelona.
Helena and Miriam were always very easy to communicate with, thank you again for your quick replies and recommendations!
Miriam was an amazing host, always there if needed. Full of recommendations that we enjoyed! The apt is comfortable (for 6p) in a very nice and central neighbourhood. 10 min walk to P. Catalunya. Overall it was just perfect...
L'appartement est situé dans un super quartier.
Nous avons été très bien reçues.
Et nous avons bénéficié de flexibilité pour le check-out! :)
+ very warm and nice duvet
- the flat is getting a bit worn out
- two bedrooms do not have windows (did not realize it when I booked it - might have influenced my decision)
- cold in the winter (we used the conditioner to warm the flat)
The appartment had a great location. The appartment was clean, modern enough with space etc.
I can really recommend to stay at this appartment.
The Appartment is very central- it's the perfect place to discover Barcelona! In about 10 minutes walk you are at the Rambla.
Helena and Miriam are very friendly and open minded. Everything worked perfect. The flat is clean and big enough for 6 persons. We had a lot of fun and next time, whenn we'll be in Barcelona, we will go to this appartment again!
My two friends and I had a great time at Miriams apt. It is really in the heart of the city. Bars, restaurant, the beach...everything is really close. The girls were very fast in responding any questions we had beforehand. Getting the keys to the apt was not a problem either, even at 10pm. We can definitely recommend this place!
This is a beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. We loved the El Born area. We arrived late evening so took a taxi to the apartment where Helena was waiting for us. It was a quick and easy way to get to the apartment. We took a bus back to the airport, and it took 20 mins from the apartment to walk to the bus stop in Place de Catalunya.
The apartment is very spacious and clean, with nice decorative touches. Helena and Miriam have done a good job.
The kitchen is a good size, with everything you need such as microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, full sized cooker.
The apartment was very quiet for being so central. Only the front bedroom looks onto a narrow pedestrian lane, but the noise is minimal. We never heard any noise from the apartments around us.
Helena was extremely helpful and quick to respond to all my emails. I would highly recommend this apartment.
This place was okay. The two bedrooms at the back had curtains which you would assume are windows but it was just a wall. Therefore there was no ventilation in the rooms at all. The window just outside one of the window-less room opens to everyone else's air con vents so we couldn't leave that window open (bad air). The one air con in the living room was either too weak or not working at all to keep the apartment cool. After notifying the hosts of air con issue during the day, because we were staying during the weekend, she advised technician doesn't work weekends. She did not offer to even provide fans or if there was anything further she can do it make it better. I asked if she can drop off fans at least, no replies until the next day, saying she can drop it off on the day we are leaving - what's the point?
The host was quick to reply before we checked in. However during our uncomfortable stay, the host was 'away' or very slow to reply.
I don't recommend this place in warm/hot weather as the air con doesnt work nor is there really good options to get some ventilation into the place. I didn't require you to 'serve me' 24hours. I just wanted a comfortable stay.
I had a problem with the air conditioning already solved finally. We tried to fix it for her to be okay but it was not possible because it was weekend and did not find any technician who can do that, we do our best because our guests are well and most are very happy.
The apartment has many windows and flat temperature in this season is nice, and they just had to open the windows and wait for the next day we will solve the problem.
We answer all emails and calls whenever we can as quickly as possible, as explained by the majority of our guests in other reviews.
The curtains in the rooms is a gesture of decoration, not a hoax.
Your comment is totally unconscionable.
The apartment was great for what we (a family of five) wanted and cost justified any minor issues we had. Miriam was a perfect host -- very responsive and quick to turn around communications. Yes, it is a climb up four floors on very narrow stairs, but that's how people live in downtown Barcelona, so it's the real Barri Gotic experience -- just don't bring heavy luggage. Yes, the beds could be better, but you can't expect five-star facilities for these great rates and you have to accept that you have to compromise to get that location at that cost. The only issue we had was the heat: as another reviewer already said, there are no windows in the rear two bedrooms and the one air-con is at the other end of what is a long apartment, it isn't strong and it faces away from the rear bedrooms. The addition of a second air-con at the rear would be ideal. All in all, a great apartment, great location, great facilities and a great host, but I wouldn't stay there in mid-summer. Any other time of year we'd be back for sure.
